Not really, no. In the first clip, it's just F and A. This new one is something like B/A/F#, similar to the bassline in Peacemaker. There's also an E chord somewhere in there.

To me, it KINDA sounded like "raise your hands" i dunno for sure tho but its what i made out

Alright, since I have fuck all else to do with my day let's break this shit down.

We start with some big vocals, then the song comes in but presumably-Billie talks over it so it's hard to make anything out exactly but I'm pretty sure it's Billie singing over D# D# A#, then I can't get the chords but I'm pretty sure the bass plays B B A F# G# twice, then Billie singing over D A E F#. Then it cuts to that super-echoey guitar riff that I am definitely not going to tab out for you, then cuts again to another riff with similar effects, I think that's:

Honestly echoey is just the first way I thought to describe it, I can never remember the technical difference between echo, delay and however many other similar effects there are so I've probably got the actual name wrong.

i despise the gang vocals at the very beginning, the solo bit at the very end sounds cool as fuck, and it's hard to make out anything other than that. still pretty sure it's gonna end up being fake.

this album has to be really good, revrad was a solid come back, especially compared to what their peers released. but this album should really be something different, i wanna see them do something artistic. i also hope the album cover is cool.

 

side not, why the hell does sum 41 have the cringiest album art ever? the gravestones, skulls, gothic celtic crosses. It’s like they went into a 34 year old man child’s facebook and screenshotted his cover picture

😂 incredible. Correct though. It’s because they have no taste at all. It’s not artistic or creative at all. Saying that, the last few GD records artwork has been crap too.

I feel like GD right the way upto American Idiot had great ideas for aesthetics, even with their merch. Then it just sort of fell off completely and now it mostly looks cheap and forced. Like the other post mentioned, taken from a middle aged guys Facebook page. Look at a band like the 1975, I don’t like their music at all but they’ve nailed their aesthetic. Same with catfish and the bottlemen. Black and white. Simplistic text and fonts. Really classy and timeless looking. 21cb has some tribal in it doesn’t it? I mean come on, tribal!? That’s the sort of shit kid rock uses. Good job Green day are still great musically. Maybe they’ve just got really lax on their aesthetic or too old to care? You can tell not much thought has gone into album art or merch for a while.

The baseball Oakland A’s style GD tee was cool but that was the best thing they’ve done in years.
