After sitting with these EPs for a few days I can see why these were left off the album.

Fever Blister - 10/10. Easily one of the best songs from the EPs.

Razor Baby - 3/10. Something about this song just doesn't sit right with me. It does get stuck in my head but I can almost never bring myself to listen to the whole song. Might be the production on it.

I've Got My Problems - 10/10. This was a nice surprise to hear. I love this sound from Billie and I wish this song made the album.

Southern Girls - 4/10. I feel the same way about this song as I do about Razor Baby.

So Sad About Us - 6/10. It's ok, nothing really stand out or overly special about it.

Can't Make It On Time - 9/10. Fun cover that really stays in my head.

As Tears Go By - 5/10. I've found myself skipping this one a lot, maybe just because I'm not a fan of the original song in the first place.

Million Miles Away - 10/10. By far the best cover on here.

I Am A Rock - 9/10. Great cover that you can really hear the emotion behind.

Give It All To You - 10/10. Insanely catchy.

Keep Me Satisfied- 10/10. Also insanely catchy. I would love an entire These Paper Bullets album from Billie.

Agree with all of this. I can’t get into Razor Baby because the tempo drags and I can’t hear the words.

I get why Fever Blister and Devil’s Kind didn’t make the album because lyrically they’re in a place in the past and not where he is now so they don’t really fit with the theme of being a changed and lonely person like the other songs (even as I love them) But I Got My Problems kind of does fit in style and subject and as only a two minute song I wish it got added to the album.

Baby Blue is adorable now I wish he had recorded that. I’m surprised he didn’t (I Got My Problems has a shout out to Baby Blue) because it’s such a beautiful ode to his guitar 💕💕💕 even if it took on a boy/girl vibe in the musical. It totally works as a love song to Blue and I like to think that’s how he meant it 🎸❤️

I really like Give It all to You

It's so Beatles and so awesome

I am enjoying the longshots a lot more than Revolution Radio...

I mean nothing beats Forever Now but overall this last week of new music has been so much more exciting for me than when Revrad came out

I mostly agree, except I really like both So Sad About us and As Tears Go By (I didn't know these songs before :P): Billie singing "mmm-mmm" in one and "la la la la" on the other

Green Day should do this with each album as well - dump the leftovers into soundcloud.  I know they hold onto songs in hopes of breathing new life into them, but it's a small percentage that actually get made into a full fledged song years later (anybody got numbers on how many album cuts were leftover from before??)

Better just to get the demos out there and see what people talk about the most.   Then make a really rocking single of the ones people dig.   Or people hate, whatever.

With the B-side being a thing of the past this could be a good move for any band really.

I've got some numbers!

I'm sure there are some I missed, but these are songs that were written in one era and released in another:

Haushinka.

Good Riddance

Letterbomb

Drama Queen

Granted, those all became great songs once they were completed, but ya know.   We need more song dumps dang it!  There are sooo many totally unreleased songs, it's crazy.  I'm talking never heard, never teased, never NOTHING.

They recorded at LEAST 7 additional NImrod tracks.

at least 2 additional Warning songs.

at least 1 additional American Idiot song.

at least 23 additional Breakdown songs.

at least 12 songs from the Trilogy era.

And in addition, there are the songs we've heard live or only garbage-quality.

There's at least 33 like that, where we know it's a song they made and played at least once, but it was never heard from again.

So what I'm saying is there is at LEAST 78 Green Day songs that could keep us entertained between albums quite nicely.  But I guarantee that is a low estimate.  Extremely low.

They could probably give us an albums worth from each era and then some.

Anyway, on topic......I love all these songs and cannot to hear what's next from Billie, or anybody connected to him in anyway.

The only Green Day related band I couldn't get into no matter how much I tried was The Big Cats.  I love Jason White, but to me they have the most bland sound, I couldn't dig it.    And I tried!  I tried really hard, so I did give them a chance.   It just sucked in my opinion.

I was going to rank all the Green Day side projects buuuutttt.....in my list of favorite bands, I simply have them all rolled into one because I don't want to compare Tubbies to Green Day to The Network to Longshot.  I've got Pinhead gunpowder ranked separately but that's the only one.    I guess since I brought it up I could try............................................I am off to compare (I'm making it simpler by only doing Tubbies, Network and Longshot............

I honestly only listened to these songs once, days ago. I've just been busy with college and also been trying to discover music from other bands, as well as listening to the Love is For Losers album. I can't really remember anything about these songs except Fever Blisters

I’m enjoying these EP’s as much as the album. Usually play em one right after the other. Can’t get Southern Girls out of my head, Sad About Us, Fever Blisters, ahh I really enjoy the whole thing, and don’t mind at all he didn’t put them in the album. Almost feels even better hearing them as they are, rough, garage demos. Bring on some more! makes me think that now that he has a soundcloud he’ll be releasing more music

The well is deep. You’re guess is pretty wise. I concur.

Great fucking post!!!

Let’s not forget Horseshoes and Hand-Grenades wouldn’t have been on 21CB ;) if it wasn’t for Butch and Tre pleading with Billie. I’ll never understand how that’s not a staple. One of the best live songs by any band ever and they never play it.

It was weird at first because it sounded like a Green Day cover band with Billie fronting but that’s just because I wasn’t used to it and it sounds so much like GD but the band is playing right and tight. Kevin, Jeff and David on drums is really killing it although give me Tre all day.

Everyone on the tour was talking about how much Billie was writing and while that was a lot of GD stuff, who knows how much he wrote. So we have the well and new shit coming. So much fun.

Loving it. I knew it was gonna be a storm of music when they got back but this is beyond!

Fever Blisters is still my favourite of the Soundcloud stuff. I've Got My Problems and Southern Girls are also really great. Those are my top three!

good lord this is a rad post... I'm dying for demos/unheard songs. i literally don't care if its a melody or riff or something that eventually got reused, and what they have is a shitty 4 track tape recorded version of it, i want to hear every single song/idea that never came to be. weezer is so generous with their demos and lost albums, and it makes things so fun for fans. i wish green day would embrace this a bit more. hopefully him dropping these on soundcloud is an indication that he's down to start doing it more
