He’s got me so wired I can’t go to sleep. He won’t be happy until we’re all like him 😄

I want a 'Longshot Does The Trilogy' compilation album.

They can just reissue it under The Longshot name and people will suddenly love it.

Due to the triumphant sound of "Kill Your Friends" I thought it might be too, but oh my goodness it's twisted.   he's killing his family and himself so they can go to heaven and party in a morgue, possibly as zombies.

To a suicidal, killing yourself is the most perfect way to end all sorrow and sadness. So to me,  "kill your friends" is more like "let's try to be happy and make others happy too" in a very dark and twisted metaphore

In Cuatro he talked about how difficult it is to be playing all new songs live when people don’t know them well yet and here he is doing it again and while we’re still trying to get to know the new ones he goes and dumps 11 new demos on us including more new songs. He’s brave and manic. This is a lot to take in at once but I like it.

If the I heart radio thing wasn't a thing, we would have heard a lot more of stuff from it. All longshot lp has been played, along with 3 green day songs and few covers. So is not that hard to get use to the new songs. There's a job that we as listeners have to do.

A Green Day show demands the hits be played, not by the big fans but by the casual fan.

I think it has more to do about crowd response. BJ said a lot of times that he feeds from that and puts him in the mood to perform. So the best he can do is to put hits, since most "fans" are only casual listeners. They don't have that such amount of hardcore fans, sadly. At least he remembers the people who really likes the band playing some cool stuff.

I have to say, I think The Longshot is my favorite out of all the side projects Billie has been involved in. All the songs are short, sweet, and incredibly catchy.

So I know the chorus for Happiness is [...]

See you when the war is over

Someday when hell freezes over

How unhappy is your happiness

I hear like @Too Dumb to Die(s) "Someday when all this is over"

I don’t think this song is about rehab at all

That's funny cause I can't unthink that song as a rehab song even if I'm wrong. haha

I really need to give the album a few more listens, but the title track is still my favourite. The Last Time is also great.

So, I put Devil's Kind as the first track of the record and I think it fills pretty well.

The transition from Devil's Kind to The Last Time is great.

The very beginning of Kill Your Friends sounds like it's going to be a 39/Smooth song

I have to say it has totally surpassed my expectations! Thought it was basically going to be some bonus GD b side material but it's so much more than that. Right up there with FBHT, I'm in love with it

Hmm, you and your friends going through stuff and being shitty/not perfect but it's OK because you're in it together and can say fuck it and party together? Haven't really thought about it yet but you made me look at the lyrics and see what I could come up with :P. Curious about other thoughts on the song now.

As good as a lot of the songs are, it just can't beat Foxboro for me

I heard that the second time for a while during the ig clip I thought it was “some day we will all be sober” but I slowed it down the other day and I hear clearly slowed down some day when hell freezes over

So far I like this side-project a lot more than Foxboro Hot Tubs and The Network, I like this type of rock more than the Foxboro garage rock.

My three favorite: 1. The Last Time, 2. Taxi Driver (grew on me), 3. Chasing a Ghost. I also like Kill Your Friends (the verse with bass line is better than chorus), Soul Surrdender is repetetive, don't like the vocal. Love is For Losers is mediocre. Cult Hero is very optimistic but nothing special. I don't like Body Bag and the Ozzy's cover. Happiness is a perfect rock and roll song to dance to. But The Last Time impress me, the song is catchy, sentimental, happy and sad at the same time. In my opinion TLT would have been better than LIFL as a single

As someone said it's nothing groundbreaking, just rock and roll bangers, the best words ro describe this album. The Longshot is like a tribute to old school rock in mordern edition :D
