What’s up with the vocal filters on Body Bag!?

Ikr. The low quality OW version had the same problem, but I thought it was just the result of sucky quality. I feel like this version does it for some stylistic purpose that we aren't aware of.

Arghhh! So difficult. I like ''Kill Your Friends'' verses but the problem is that the chorus is ripped from ''Stay the Night'' and the bridge is a mix of ''Lazy Bones'' and ''Sweet Revenge'', The Boo' song... I'm about to listen to ''Body Bag'' now but I'm pretty sure I'll give it a 5 out of 5. I love BJ Clash-is style in this picture. God, now I'm sad because of Joe... Sorry.

This is maybe the only song where I like the vocal distortion. ''Sometimes it aches so baaaaaaad''... I loved this song sicne Day 1. Maybe I love movies more than music but I cried a lot watching Ordinary World... Thank you BJ.

Weird, everyone keeps mentioning Lazy Bones, but I keep hearing Fell for You.

Weird how there's new Billie Joe music and the forum is so dead.

Body Bag sound pretty much the same as the OW version, except the vocals sound a little higher in the mix, and a little too polished for my liking, but I'm glad we have it in much better quality now! Kill Your Friends rocks too, but I'll always have a soft spot for Body Bag.

I think ''Body Bag'' is one of the best Green D... Ehm, Billie Joe songs. Like... ever! :P

Can't deny. After the first listen, Kill Your Friends instantly shot up to my favorite of The Longshot's songs.

I'd say there's no question that these songs were at least partially written during the trilogy era.  The sound, themes and melodies are very similar though these are more flushed out musically and lyrically.

It’d have been better if it were an acoustic song. Just Billie, Gibson songwriter studio, mics and Chris Dugan.

Well, Chasing A Ghost and Taxi Driver are pretty good. Love is For Losers is alright... I don't like Body Bag that much and Kill Your Friends sounds ok.

Chasing A Ghost is the best song yet, but i'm very much enjoying the sound of this experiment.

Heaven's making rent
There's a vacancy for me and all my friends
The ??? days are on the way
Who needs eulogies?
When you got your loved ones
And everyone's depressed
Party in the morgue tonight
Everything's gonna be alright

And we'll be singing
Kill your Friends!
And we better hear ya screaming
Kill Your Friends!
And we'll show up missing

Deadbeats on parade
Gonna bite the bullet
And jump on the grenade
Fuck the world, its judgement day
We got thoughts and prayers
Nothing comes of mine
And I dont even care
Im gonna take it to the mausoleum

And we'll be screaming
Kill Your Friends!
Now we better get it
We'll be screaming
Kill your Friends!
And we'll show up missing!

Im ??? on the trigger
I'm ?? on the stereo
I think you're killing me with kindness
Gunslinger dead ???
Michaelangelo!
Im in stitches blowing kisses
And a death wish

Kill your Friends!
And we better hear ya screaming
Kill Your Friends!
And we'll show up missing
???
Kill Your Friends!
And we'll be singing!
Kill Your Friends!

I've listened to the EP a few times and idk I'm a little underwhelmed, I know this is a side project but it just feels like Green Day B-Sides, which is admittedly what I initially wanted from this.

I don't want to keep repeating myself but the songs are ok yet the vocal filters etc let them down, I much prefer the production of Kill Your Friends, aside from the vocals that YouTube upload sounds pretty good to my ears.

How could u wish for this record to sound different from Green Day, if it's made from Green Day's leader?

I love that ''freedom'' vibe I get out of it... It makes me want to take ma' guitar and record every single thing with no stressfull ''ambition'' thoughts... These songs are a sort of cut and paste work from different Green Day songs but, despite this... I'm happy. I love this shy and normal Billie Joe, just being himself without acting like USA savior* in every live show. Thankful.

*I don't wanna say that he used to act like the USA savior in Green Day concerts. What I mean is that Billie Joe's best songs are those ones with a limited amount of seriousness included. Green Day went TOO serious years ago, and Revolution Radio reflects that, 'cause, like they said, ''Let's accept this mess (USA, world troubles) and play music just being Green Day''. Something like that.
