Yes, it comes with the territory of being a rockstar with a social media account. But he is only human and it must be WILDLY irritating at times. Telling fans to fuck off isn’t cool and obviously doesn’t help get his point across effectively. It’s especially frustrating to see when I know he’s capable of writing more thoughtful replies as he has in the past. But I also understand how fed up he must get reading shitty comments all the time. I’m not of the mind that he should be nice to Trump supporters for the sake of unity — personally, I find everything Trump stands for deeply offensive and do not need to respect someone who supports him. I think Billie feels similarly. He does engage with fans often in positive ways. We don’t talk about it as much because it’s less exciting, but he does do it. I do agree with the thought that folks that don’t like what he says should stay off his page. Why follow someone you disagree with and comment on how you disagree with them? Sure, his comment may have been kind of pointless. I mean, there was no point in saying "Well Trump supporters aren't going to change their minds" but he wasn't in the wrong in the slightest. If Billie's that easy to trigger by pointless comments like this, he probably has spent very little time on the internet. I understand Billie was mad but he took it out on the wrong person and is in the wrong. The dude that commented absolutely did nothing wrong. He probably wasn't expecting Billie to reply to him or even read his comment in the first place. For all we know, GD are his favourite band.
