I think they made a good choices :D No surprise at all, cause singles are chosen to promote an album and they only have potential to become hits. that's why there's no Makeup Party or Missing You

Really? Bang Bang was one of the best songs on RevRad and it was pretty successful

I would have added Jesus Of Suburbia instead :runaround:

Nah, there's enough AI as it is. They needed to represent RevRad somehow.

I feel like the whole point of the album was to have their biggest songs, not all their singles were huge and it was never meant to be a fan favorites collection or even band favorites type thing. I have international superhits but never listen to it, a lot of my favorite songs never made it to the radio, I'd rather just listen to a full album anyways. I do think that Waiting should have been on here even though it wasn't huge, cuz Minority wasn't a very big hit either. Didn't JAR do well as a radio single back in the day? I feel like the whole point in this was just to sell something to the casual fans, so I dunno why there's gotta be so much debate around it.

here are all the songs that I hear when listening to my local radio stations:

1) Welcome To Paradise
2) Basket Case
3) Longview
4) When I Come Around
5) She
6) Brain Stew
7) Jaded
8) Good Riddance
9) American Idiot
10) Blvd of Broken Dreams
11) Wake Me Up When September Ends
12) Holiday
13) Bang Bang
14) Still Breathing

That's a full album right there, so anything else seems like a bonus to me. I haven't heard RevRad on the radio once, and even when I was a kid Good Riddance was the only song I ever heard the radio play around here and they never played anything from Warning. MTV was very different though, I guess I forgot to factor that in but they don't play music videos anymore so whatever.

I think people are forgetting that this is a Greatest Hits album, not a Fan Favourite album or your own personal playlist. If you prefer other songs, that's fine but these songs are basically the songs that were the most successful (except 2000LYA and She). You can make your own playlist on YouTube or Spotify. Listen to whatever songs you want but for the most part, these songs are GD's greatest hits.

Their's more Dookie than American Idiot so adding J.O.S would equalise it to 5-5 :D . J.O.S length would also add some uniqueness to the album .

Or they could just take out She and equalise it to 4-4. That way there would be more space for something else off Insomniac, or nimrod, or Warning, or even the trilogy. There's really no need to have almost half of the tracklist taken up by only two albums, when some of those songs weren't even hits.

Yeah like, we have all the songs anyway. The tracklist is designed for those less familiar with the band who don't already own every song. The bonus songs and fabulous artwork and merch are for us!

Since it is a greatest hits album, none of the songs listed apply. Therefore I didn't vote

I only thought Jaded applied because it Brain Stew and Jaded were released as a single together

She gets played at least 2-3 times a day on Houston radio... haven’t heard GSB on radio since the 90’s if a Insomniac track is played it’s Brain Stew

I think they should have released a greatest hits with just songs from 2004 - 2017. Also maybe have "I fought the law" and "Working Class Hero" in there. Then release it as stand alone greatest hits and also part of a set with "International Superhits"

Don't mean to sound like I'm moaning cause I actually like it as it is too.

This is exactly what I wanted too, a 2004-2017 International Superhits II.

1.I Fought the Law (I would forgive this one not being included, although I freaking love it)

2.American Idiot

3.Boulevard of the Broken Dreams

4.Holiday

5.Wake Me up When September Ends

6.Jesus of Suburbia

7.The Saints Are Coming

8.Working Class Hero

9.The Simpsons Theme Song (all three of these songs charted dang it.  why no love?)

10.Know Your Enemy

11.21 Guns

12.East Jesus Nowhere

13.21st Century Breakdown

14.Last of the American Girls

15.When It’s Time

16. Oh Love

17. Kill  the DJ

18. Let Yourself Go

19.Stray Heart

20.The Forgotten

21.X-Kid

22.BANG BANG

23.Still Breathing

24.Revolution Radio

25.Somewhere Now

26.Forever Now

27.Fell  for You (mix)

As far as the one they released, They should have made a standard version, a deluxe version, and then a diehard/hardcore obsessive compulsive version.   Haha.  Deluxe would be a two disc collection of all their singles that charted at all and the obsessive compulsive version would have every single on two or three discs and a dvd with all their music videos.

Looking through all their single release, they've done incredibly well.  The only "real" single that didn't do a darn thing was "Stray Heart".

Others that technically were singles but never climbed the charts are :   Poprocks and Coke, Maria, I Fought the Law and Shoplifter.  Those could be included in an extended version too, that would be awesome.

Well. it's a GREATEST HITS album so, songs like Reject. Castaway or Scattered have no option at all, they weren't singles. Therefore, this is the second Hits album so include songs like Nice Guys Finish Last and Stuck with me is not necessary (They are on ISH). I think one song from 39 smooth era would be ok to represent that album. I'm ok about 2000 LYA on the record (Jerky Boys Mix would be even better). Dookie.... just 3 songs: Longview, Basket Case and When I come around (In order to get more space for songs from other records). Brain stew is a good choice, but they should include Jaded OR just replace them with Geek Stink Breath. Nimrod era is OK, good choices. Warning era, I think is OK.

And here, the "new" records.

From AI, I think the selection of songs was approppiate, JOS (Radio Version) could be on the list ommiting one or two songs (But commercially, it wasn't  a hit compared to AI or BOBD). From 21st CB is OK, But I Would add 21stCB song. From ¡UNO! I don't like Oh love on the list, BUT it made a better rank than other singles from that record so nothing to do, Nuclear Family would be the best choice. From ¡DOS! and ¡TRÉ! I would pick Stray Heart and X-Kid. From RevRad good choices, but I would include Revolution Radio.

And I would include as a B-side single Favorite Son or When it's time. I don't think Working class hero or I fought the law would make the list because the most probable thing is the record label would have to pay royalties to the authors/writters of those songs.

I think one or two 39 Smooth tracks woulda been cool, cause although its a greatest hits album, it plays like a run through of their whole career. Kinda the reason I enjoy it so much, kinda unique the way the songs are in chronological order. So i guess Id add in At The Library, Green Day or 409 In Your Coffee maker cause I think it would fit the flow of the album. More B-sides woulda been cool but im still really hoping for a Shenanigans pt 2.

Ditto.  I would love for them to record songs we've only heard live or have only read about, especially Dreamcatcher, Oh Girl, Olivia, Minnesota Girl, or covers like Alison and Walking the Dog.

I like the repping for 80 I’m seeing here!  But yeah, I was genuinely surprised when Jaded wasn’t included. Thought it would be a given if they’re putting Brain Stew on there, but oh well.

Same, but hey we can't complain!

I don't know if it's just an age thing and most of the people listing really long track lists have never made CDs, but you do know a CD can't be more than 80 minutes long?

I think they've made the right decision with the song choices for the most part as far as 'greatest hit's set goes considering they're limited with the amount of songs they can fit in.  The only differences I'd have made are what other people have already said, take out She and add another Insomniac track since She wasn't really a hit and Dookie already has 4 songs.  Maybe take out 2000LYA and add Waiting.

JoS definitely deserves a spot but they would have had to cut a fair few songs to fit it in.

I agree with the people who would have liked an International Superhits 2.  If you don't include cover songs you can just about fit in all of the singles plus a new track:

1. American Idiot

2. Holiday

3. Boulevard of Broken Dreams

4. Wake Me Up When September Ends

5. Jesus Of Suburbia

6. Know Your Enemy

7. 21 Guns

8. East Jesus Nowhere

9. 21st Century Breakdown

10. Last Of The American Girls

11. Oh Love

12. Kill The DJ

13. Let Yourself Go

14. Stray Heart

15. X-Kid

16. Bang Bang

17. Still Breathing

18. Revolution Radio

19. Back In The USA

Could even have done some deals if you bought it together with International Superhits or do a deluxe edition with both CDs.
