This video really fascinated me now that I’ve really watched it all the way through. At one point he shows them his 80 tattoo and is explaining that it’s “about a girl” and the British guys are laughing about having a number as a nickname. They’re talking about his future wife and mother of his children and Billie has no idea at that point, because they were far apart and seeing other people. Then just the fact that he’s so normal and such a kid, not knowing that 3 years from then they would be one of the biggest bands on the planet  and plastered all over magazines. This is something that has been discussed previously at length and his relationship past is very complicated. He met Adie in 1990 but they dated other people and didn’t commit to each other until pretty shortly before she moved to CA and they got married. He was still involved with Arica on and off early in that time period, and then Amanda later, like ‘93.

I was confused because also in an interview he was telling that he was suicidal because of break up right before Dookie. It didn’t make sense to me cause I thought all the girl names are mentioned in the songs are before Adrienne lol

I completely agree. The video is indeed very cute and funny and simply precious, with Billie showing his delightful trademark combination of being both sweet and naughty at the same time. It's simply hilarious and I can't wait to have the time needed to watch the whole thing straight through. I agree with what others have said about it being a fascinating part of the band's early history. But still, anything that features Billie's penis is very hot for me LOL.

Knowing also that at the same time Amanda dumped him in late 1993 he had also signed with Warners and got kicked out of Gilman for it and trashed by his whole community that he considered his home and family it was a lot of rejection/abandonment at once so that may have added to his feelings.  Hard for anybody but losing a parent at ten can cause lifelong fears of abandonment.

I think it would be interesting if you could show 1991 Billie a pic of 2019 Billie's tattoos and see his reaction.  Think of the story they tell.  He would see that he got two more Adrienne tattoos, wonder who Joey and Jakob are, etc.

I think you have misinterpreted a lot here and put a lot of words in my mouth. You're saying a lot of things I never said. BTW, I have a very busy and successful life and have only been here to blow off some steam during some free time over the holidays. I had a boyfriend for a long time whom I almost married and while things didn't quite work out, we remain great friends, and we had a very healthy and normal relationship. I have a feeling I may have way more life experience than you,  and it sounds like you need to get a life if you have all this time on your hands to judge other people. You don't sound like someone who is very happy with themself. I thought this was a place where we all could share feelings without judgment, but I guess I was a fool to think you could actually interact in a healthy way with people on the Internet in 2019.

@Kyrthical Further, I would like to remind you that I did not take nor share this video; I merely reacted to it. I would also like to remind you that Billie Joe Armstrong himself once said something to the effect that judging other people says a lot more about you than it does them. I don't really care what you think, since I am old enough and my life is secure enough that one unhappy person on the Internet doesn't change anything for me. But I what does bother me is that, as others have pointed out, we have younger members here, people who may not be so secure. And I fear that some young person exploring their sexuality for the first time is going to come here and share some deeply personal feeling and someone like you is going to tell them they are "sick and disgusting" and that person is then going to go harm themself because now they think they are trash for having human desires. So I hope that makes you feel really good about yourself.
