I know I've said this before, but a bulging belly isn't easy to pull off. It's something that's generally associated with growing older, and on most people it's extremely unflattering. However, Billie's not a statistic; he makes a pudgy bellie look desirable. He looks wonderful with a little weight at the gut (that's such a backhanded compliment, I know ). It doesn't make him look less attractive or older. It just makes him look more snuggly. 1

I get it's their dressing code but I'm always worries about it. Is it colder as it seems to be on stage? I think it's like they're athletes playing sport, they're basically already pumped up and sweating and ready for physical activity when they arrive on stage and they're going to exert themselves and get hot whatever they're wearing so longer sleeves or an extra layer doesn't make a huge difference. Also I think in a big arena it isn't particularly hot (other than from exerting themselves), he can play in a boiling hot little club in summer wearing a thick coat (Foxboro Hot Tubs) so it's probably nothing to him. They can drink as much water as they want to cool down too and I'm sure if the extra layers made him uncomfortable he'd take them off (as we know he has no problem with removing his clothes ). 3

I was thinking about how at work, shorts look unprofessional, so in summer you have to wear pants ☹️ I know this is the fangirls thread not the clothes thread but yeah

It doesn't make him look less attractive or older. It just makes him look more snuggly. I scroll a lot through galleries of pictures attached to gig reviews, or shared by photographers on sites like getty or flickr, they are often tons of pics and the quality is great. Then I save a bunch of them on my computer (I try not to save too much at a time, lol!) My favorite are smile/ cute/ bellie pictures. Yeah, I agree Billie looks particularly cute with a plump midsection as you say. He looks great anyways but I find him way cuter like that. I love the word snuggly. However, I would't say on most people it's extremely unflattering, some people pull off a bulging belly very well, without looking older (as you say, it's an association of ideas people make, while a lot of thin people tend to look older, for what I see). Whether a belly looks good or not, I think it mostly varies depending on how the person showcases it. Whatever features you have look good from the moment you don't try to hide it. Being attracted to this feature of Billie's, when I look around me, I end up finding a bulging belly more attractive than a flat one on most people I see. And some people showcase a flat belly like a security because they know it's demanded by social standards nowadays; but they don't accept themselves otherwise, which is too bad. Billie just looks fine with himself whatever his belly looks like. Also, when you wear a shirt tucked in your pants, it tends to draw your belly more than a t-shirt over your pants for example, yet he did it through the whole RevRad tour (especially from somewhere in April, I think, where he stopped closing that waistcoat ), not giving a shit about showing a couple of extra pounds at some point. Not only was he beautiful even so, but I thought it was very sexy that he showcased his bellie that way, much more than showing the flat belly that is socially expected. 2

You won't believe it but there are people outside that would die to get his bacteria or infections if he is ill. And no, not me 😉 I remember an article from Dookie times that described him being on stage with a cold letting snot hang out of his nose as far as he could and sniffing it back up again. And in the early days Billie and Mike had to stop spitting at the audience/each other so much because they kept getting ill when they spat back . His hygiene might be slightly better now but I doubt he's immune to colds. During Green Day's UK tour in 2009 several of the group I hung out with who were going to all the shows together got flu (I didn't at first but caught it when I went back for the FBHT show that ended the tour due to Billie passing beers to the guy in front of me who had it and then him passing them to me after a swig - doctor said it was likely swine flu and it was literally the most ill I've ever been in my life. This is why I have to remember the show itself so fondly, to make up for the two weeks of hell that were the consequence of attending it). We heard the band were sick after that show too....hopefully it was just from the excessive drinking and not our flu 4 minutes ago, Savannah89 said: I heard my mom saying today that Billie looks a bit femminine. I think you have been asking quite a lot of personal questions about the band members and have had to be asked to stop getting so personal so people will be more sensitive to it when you keep bringing up more personal topics. They happen to have talked about being sick with colds etc at various times in interviews but it isn't something to worry about or that needs to be investigated, everyone gets colds. Just try to lay off the personal questions about Billie. But anyway, yes I do have a beer can from the show to remember it by . This is all so true! While it’s reasonable to attribute an expanding belly to aging, most “older” people do maintain a more youthful appearance when they’re carrying a bit of extra weight in the middle. Billie looks so fantastic with that bellie of his; he wouldn’t be able to maintain his youthful looks if he didn’t allow his bellie to “plumpen” and went to insane lengths to totally resist weight gain. He could not look any more fantastic than he does right now. Wow, this ^ is quite off topic now. Well, I hate to be a conversation killer, but I wrote this a little while ago and I forgot to post it.
