I love that Yorkshire thing, he just can’t let it go 😆

I am kidding myself if I think I could speak to him! We did a whale watching trip from Monterey and an older gentleman sat beside me, we chatted a little and he said he was from Oakland, I nearly collapsed at that! Never even managed to tell him I was a huge GD fan to see if he had any connection, my husband couldn’t believe it, he was waiting for me to  interrogate the poor man! 😆

If true that it was the Kaiser Chiefs, it would be hysterical- Kaiser Chiefs are from Yorkshire (Leeds)

I will hopefully see GD next year at Huddersfield which is in Yorkshire (fuck off Covid), and one of the most intriguing aspects of going to that gig is if the Yorkshire/cocksucker thing happens again

I was thinking the exact same things (about the Kaiser and Huddersfield)

Just make a REALLY big poster that says "Yorkshire" . Like really big. We all know he can't see for shit, either. :D

Now I’m picturing him as a half blind, half deaf little old man 👴🏻

Gettin' old sucks. I'm not even in my 40's and I already have contacts WITH readers... I fear the eye doc every year that he's going to suggest bi-focals.

I still refuse to make my phone text larger though.

I think he does these things as a joke even if he can see/hear it. I mean, would we really expect him to come up with anything OTHER than cocksucker LOL? 🤣

Also, NGL, some of you U.K. people are kinda hard to understand LOL.

All he has to do now is cry, “Oy!” when he leaps onstage and I’m out 😜

Come on everybody; he's only 48 and we are acting like he's ready for a nursing home. 🤣 It's actually amazing that he is still is an as good shape as he is and still has the energy he does considering all that he has been through.

I hope the pandemic is over and he can play shows before he gets to this stage. Even though I’m kind of curious what the concerts will be like 20 years from now. I mean, Rolling Stones are cool, but they’ve always been a lot more laid back live. It’s not like Mick Jagger ever was running around with a guitar.

I don't know, I have seen some pretty intense Mick Jagger performances LOL. Not sure I would call him laid back.

Yeah that’s not exactly the right word to call it

I mean, of course Billie like takes the running/jumping/insane energy crown LOL, but Jagger is pretty impressive too, and what he is doing in his 70s is still just wild. I am sure Billie can keep it going like that too as long as he continues taking care of himself.

Odd curiosity question now: How much does the average electric guitar weigh?

That's what I was thinking of too.

I actually just watched this and it does sound weird the way they were chanting "Yorkshire," almost like they had an extra syllable in there LOL. I can kinda hear how Billie got "cocksucker" out of that. 🤣

Agreed! The whole band is amazing doing what they’re doing with still so much energy. I almost got to see them live and I still regret that something got in the way.

More than you’d guess haha I was surprised the first time I picked one up. I suck at guessing so I just checked and Les Pauls can have up to 12lb. It’s not that much but it can make your neck hurt after a while.

Maybe that’s what Americans hear! :P

Yeah, they are very impressive. I have never been to a show and one of these years I need to do it. Some of my students had tickets to the Hella Mega show at Fenway Park in Boston and I feel terrible for them; I hope they can go next year.

Wow, that is a little more than I would have thought for a guitar but on second thought it kinda makes sense. I can imagine that would get tiresome around one's neck after awhile.

Yes, apparently we as Americans don't understand you folks (though I never did have much trouble understanding the few British people I have personally known).

I have just remembered that time on the Rev Rad tour (Milan) where Billie called Jason White Jason Freese. I loved how he laughed off his error, though.

2:30 in the video.

This will always be one of my favorite moments.

As a die hard Muse fan, I'm used to British accents, but there are so many videos of them, where all the comments are, what did he say?  You have to learn a whole different language with Matt Bellamy.

Years of carrying a guitar while performing takes an early toll on your neck, shoulders, back and knees. You have to stay fit to do it long term, especially with the length of their shows and the amount of running and jumping he does. It’s why a lot of musicians end up on chronic pain medication. Very different from just being a singer. In fact I wonder if he hasn’t recently started shedding the guitar for more songs in order to lessen the burden. Kevin takes over more guitar duties than Jeff did.

I noticed too and thought the same. It seems Kevin mostly took over on the songs that are more difficult to sing (Oh Yeah, FOAM, the same has been done with Still Breathing before). It can be a stylistic choice but I believe it’s also definitely to make it easier for Billie.

It's the same thing with The Cure. I've watched so many interviews with Robert Smith that I'm used to his accent. But he'll always talk shit about how everyone can't understand him in concerts

When ya talk really fast, yes. 😂😂

I’ve gotten better at understanding accents just from my job. Spanish accents especially.

Depends on how fast you talk and how much accent/strange lingo you’re using
