If anything, I’m surprised there hasn’t been more negativity and comment on a male promoting eye liner. Hats off to Billie.

Maybe times have changed? He used to get a lot of hate for it

Waaah I found out my local Debenhams doesn't do Kat Von D stuff so I'll never live my dream of seeing that display in there. Still totally want to get it once it's out in the UK though.

I checked on sephora.com but it doesn't ship to France... so I'll just wait until next month when it'll normally start selling near me. I do wish there are many other French GD fans and that they'll deplete the stocks in no time, so I better be fast enough to get one as well :P. I think it might be the first time I'll buy something from a Sephora shop!

I have a good friend who works at Sephora and she sent me a pic of a sign they have up for this and she said she would save it for me when they're ready to take it down :)

I wasn't going to buy it but the reviews have changed my mind, it sounds like I might actually use it  If my local Debenhams doesn't have it I guess I'll just hope it's still available when I go to the US in March.

Finally went to Sephora and bought this.
There were only two left on the display when I entered the store, so naturally, I snatched one up.

The pencil, as mentioned in another post above, is certainly not as thick as I thought it'd be, especially considering the tip at the top. If one removes the casing, I'd say the actual liner itself (cylindrical portion) is about as wide as any regular pencil liner (in its entirety). As for application - man... this applies quite smoothly. I'm certainly happy with the product. I might buy another once I have the funds.

For anyone wanting to order this in the UK, Debenhams have it up on their website now.

Totally getting some!

Edit: I've now ordered it . I already knew there wasn't Kat Von D stuff in my local Debenhams but on my way home I went in there and actually asked about it, and they said only the main London store does it =/. Kind of a shame there won't be a load of those displays around. But the artwork is on the website which is cool

I’m glad you found that out because I was going to check my local Debenhams after work, but since it’s only London it would have been a wasted journey

Definitely a shame we can't see the displays :( But I ordered it, anyway, £17 isn't unreasonable as long as it's good. I accepted a while back that I need to spend more on eyeliner if I want it to last through crying/camping/nuclear war. My current one is about to run out so I can even justify it :D

Order it online then spend another 3 pound for free shipping or 19 pound to have it shipped to your house or closest store I didn't it today

Mine's arrived and I love everything about it.  The packaging, the pencil - everything.  I just can't decide if I should try and use it or just enjoy seeing it in my makeup basket forever!

I plan to use it and just treat it carefully so it still looks the same and then add it to my Green Day display when it's finished

Went to buy it for my wife when I happened to be at the mall earlier today (this is in the US). I was the only man in the Sephora store and they kind of laughed at me since I looked lost (and I probably deserved it). I was taken to a big display with Kat Von D and Billie- the saleswoman looked around for a while underneath and in the back room and let me know it was sold out. I actually liked the display more than I ever wanted the eyeliner but she wouldn't sell it to me. Anyway, totally sold out here- I don't know if that's normal for eyeliner or cosmetic products but nice to see it's doing well!

They don’t keep a huge stock of things and I know my daughter buys a lot of makeup and finds things sold out there all the time. But I’ve heard this from multiple locations now and it is nice to know it’s selling well. As it’s limited, I wonder how long they will make it until it’s gone for good.

I also wonder if they’ve sold this to any guys for themselves. Is it boosting the male eyeliner market?

I guess the same guys who already buy eyeliner (mostly goth/alternative types) would buy it. Don't know if it would tempt anyone who didn't already but I hope there's a few who'll be tipped over the edge to go for it by seeing this. I think it's early days but having a high profile male celebrity advertising make up is definitely a step in the right direction, maybe if there are more campaigns not only aimed at women more men will wear it (especially those who've already wanted to but have been put off because it's not widely accepted).

Are any GDC guys getting it?

I have some questions before I buy it. Is it possible to apply it a thinner line, or is thick the only option? Also, is it blacker and darker than the average black eyeliner?

So I guess this isn't selling too well in my area. I have 2 friends who work at Sephora and one of them says she only sold 6 so far out of a case of 25 to 30. One of my friends has yellow-ish skin and she said that it ended up looking green on her, she said that none of the girls who worked there have bought it for themselves

It’s sold out at a lot of Sephora’s from what I’ve heard. It’s done extremely well. They don’t mention it in the Kat von D account anymore, I think because they can’t keep up with the demand. Obviously a winning business idea by Billie (Kat said he was the one who thought of it). I’d like to see him sell more products based on his own fashion and iconic looks.

He tried that before with Adeline. I missed out on that one but I don’t think it did too well. Clothing is a tough business (though I would like to own just about every t-shirt he wears.) Most of his looks are things people can put together themselves.

Yeah because of these things I wasn’t thinking clothes. I’m thinking more along the lines of more makeup and maybe hair products? It’s unusual for a man to be behind these kinds of products and I think that’s part of its appeal.
