In any case, let's see the glass half full: cover or not, it's been 404 days that we haven't heard something new from Green Day and Back In The USA will certainly stop this abstinence. :D

I think at this point I'm just going to piss myself laughing if it's a cover as opposed to getting annoyed

Imagine this scenario:

Dentist: "Open your mouth."

*You hear Back In The USA on the radio*

You: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH"

Dentist:

During the RevRad promo time, the band indicated that they only recorded the 11 songs ("Ordinary World" was done separately I think) and released everything they recorded. This could be what they were up to in that Australian studio.

Hmm, released everything they recorded sounds like a good story but I'm not sure I believe them . No way to disprove it though :P

Anyone else shocked that this hasn't been leaked yet? I mean, RevRad was leaked like at least 2 weeks before it was released.

Revolution Radio was promoted by Warner Brothers, God's Favorite Band, actually, is promoted by God himself, that's why there's no leak available. Pazuzu tried his best but he failed, again, this time.

Sorry, I'm a long time possessed 'Exorcist fan, that's why I mentioned the Devil, any subliminal message, I swear to God, wasn't intentional.

The market for a greatest hits album with one new song isn't exactly the most exciting thing.

Warner Bros. included this in their "November newsflash" email. The subject line said "NEW music from Green Day" but all that was included in the email was a link to pre-order the album, with its cover art and name. Nothing else.

Just to add to the debate, this is what was written in a recent article/interview ( http://m.excelsior.com.mx/funcion/2017/11/14/1201087 )

Things to keep in mind: It's a second degree quote by @pacejunkie punk ; it's also a translation:

Quote

(...) This Friday, before their participation on Sunday at the closing of the Festival Corona Capital, green day will publish their greatest hits album: God's favorite band, with the original track back in the USA and a collaboration with the country singer Miranda Lambert In ordinary world, a genre that was never completely ignored by Oakland Musicians (...)

EDIT; damn, damn, damn, damn, damn!!!!!!

I was skeptical so I ran the original Spanish back through the translator. The word translates to unreleased not original, before people start to freak out.

Nope. Bad translation so don’t misinterpret. I ran the line through myself to check and the word is “unreleased”

Didn't believe you initially but yup. They did.
I mean, it's truly iconic.

@pacejunkie punk

Actually, I decided to read the article, because I'm semi-fluent in Spanish. The word is ''inédito/inédita'' and it can mean both ''unreleased/unpublished'' and ''original, i.e. released by no one else''.

So, all of this is once again pointless, it's just as up in the air as before. Goddamn....

Thanks. That helps in kind of a not helping way. 😂😂😂

Damn you Green Day!

I think the meaning they were probably going after was ''unreleased'', I mean no one else was told anything different by the band, so...
