As we know we'll get a new music video too on friday. That is confirmed. But yeh this album hasn't received any promotion barely just as RevRad kind of. It isn't just good enough. MAybe they need to change label. What about Sony Music? Universal. Just a change. Cmon. New blood in the GD team would be nice. New live DVD with album, new record label and i'm happy.

I know they have a new manager but do you really sense a difference?

I thought so earlier in the summer with their increased use of social media, but the stuff that comes from Warners not so much. But do you really think they’d change labels after having such good relations there and expect it to be different elsewhere? Better the devil you know.

What are you expecting? There has been some radio promos, and some news articles about it. Promotion costs money. They are only going to spend based on their expected rate of return.

I was thinking it wouldn't happen until the release day so this sounds good to me

Haha fair enough, tbf I only bought it for the merch. The new songs will be on the Spotify after all. But there's a chance they might send it by first class post for once (though it doesn't look like it), and I guess the timing makes sense for US destinations.

I'm expecting pro shot footage + more activity on social media (videos, more photos etc). Just look at Metallica. They know how to promote their stuff. Just look at their FB page. The GD promo team to me seems almost a bit unproffesional. Just look at the Bohemian Rhapsody video on Youtube. Look at the description. Did a 9r old kid write that? :D haha omg .. :( . it's so bad that you can laugh and cry about it. I read that GD has earned earned around 40 million dollars this tour, but why can't you use a bit of that fortune to make a awesome live dvd + album?

Sounds like you are expecting alot. Again, they are going to promote based on the expected rate of return. It's business.

So some people already have the album but it hasn't been leaked yet?

Favourite or Favorite ?

I know it's just the American way to spell the word but to me it looks like the album has a misspelling in its title. It's kind of annoying.

Get over it, you fell in love with an American band 😜 But at least they say “on holiday” instead of “on vacation”. Billie is as Brit of an American as you’re likely to see.

@dangreenday you need to explain yourself mate! ;)

The person in the photo works for a record store/entertainment shop. In his case, all the CD's that get released on a Friday come in stock about a week early. He has it only because he works there. :P He can't buy it, take it out or do anything until Friday when it's released else he would be fired.

Spoiler

Or so he claims. :shifty:

I wonder if he can determine from the back cover whether Back In The USA is an original or not...

I know Wikipedia is not a reliable source, but it has Back in the USA listed as a previously unreleased track. And it does not give writing credits to anyone else.

I can't get over it, it's an English word from the English language and it's been bastardised. Btw if they said "on vacation" it would be ridiculous

There was no such thing as standardized spelling until the Oxford English Dictionary and that post dates the colonies. By then we were split off and set in our ways.😁

To be honest I'm just hoping I alert someone else to this that hadn't noticed and then it bugs them too :P

Not really, different branches of the language developed separately in separate places. No one still uses the same words from the time people first went to the US, we "bastardised" the language here and they "bastardised" (or bastardized :P) it there since then that's all.
