That's one of the most stupid advertisements I have ever seen. But I love it . It's not a glossy, perfect spot, it's just goofy and weird and funny and THAT'S what makes them so relatable and likeable!

Since there's some live footage of RevRad in that video, it could be a hope for a live movie of this tour in a near future. 2018? I'm usually not excepting them to come out with something before they do, but I have to admit nothing would please me more than this. I've loved this tour so much.

Well, they had live footage in 2012 ,,tour update‘‘ videos and we didn’t get any live DVD / live album for that tour (though we did get some live footage in Cuatro). So unfortunately this most likely doesn’t mean anything (as much as I’d like it to)...

Still, at least they have the live footage, let’s wait and see what they end up doing with it...

I love how every forum topic is basically fans demanding a live concert dvd

You fell on the first (maybe second!) time I'm expressing that desire here :P but yeah, the previous Green Day DVD are so great. I've known of the band only since the current era so it is (paradoxically, since I've got to go to concerts this year) a live DVD of this era that I want . To watch it on my TV.

I'm actually way too excited about this.:D It's only a greatest hits album, and I wouldn't usually care much for it, but the entire thing is bloody hilarious. I just can't stop laughing. The whole idea of it is absolutely genius.:wub:

Man, I fucking love this band. I can always rely on my three little angels to put a smile on my face.:wub:

Just when we were saying we missed their humor too with all the heavy politics and emotion of RevRad. This couldn’t have come at a better time.

I was re-listening to the Otis-remix of Fell for You today and had a thought. Billie said that they made more remixes that would come out eventually. And I know that Billie is the master of announcing things that never happen, like the FBHT show we were all so excited about :P But what if some of the songs on the Greatest Hits album actually were remixes? I would love to hear a freshly recorded version of 2,000 LYA or Welcome to Paradise. Yes I know it's very unlikely, but it would be cool :)

That would be the only way to justify this :P I'd love to hear more of the remixes. I loved FFY.

I still want the fbht show

A year and a half passed between Billie saying FBHT were coming to England and FBHT actually coming to England so I'm still hoping :P

I thought all the stuff he was redoing at Otis was exclusively trilogy songs? If that's the case, then Oh Love would be the only GFB track getting a minor facelift.

But since this was announced, I've been wondering if any of the other songs in the list would get a slight tweak. Of them all, 2000 Light Years Away is the only pre-Dookie song. I would love to see that one beefed up a little bit.

We already have a re-recording of Welcome To Paradise we don’t need a useless third re-recording

A 2017 Welcome To Paradise recording would be pretty different from a 1994 one regardless. Realistically there's no way that's what this album is going to be anyway though so there's not much point in debating it :P, it's just a nice thought.

I'm just waiting on more trilogy remixes like he promised. Even though I don't really care for Fell For You I liked the remix more then the one on Uno.  I really hope Billie wasn't just saying things again

So Greatest Hits released in 11 days. All we've had is a fairly low key announcement and a fun but under the radar online commercial. We must be due some news/new video/promotion this week?? I'd have thought a greatest hits package could be a fairly big seller for a band like Green Day.

I'm sure they have some promotion planned, but it won't involve appearances by the band as they're  out of the country. What I'm curious about is how they're going to put the 2 new songs out and whether there will be a video involved. @LaughingClock do you have any insight on this? When do you think we'll hear them? Will there be videos?

They’ll be finishing the tour the weekend the album is released. I’m hoping for a tv appearance or two the following week.
