FYI there's A LOT of tickets left. I don't know why they aren't actively promoting the guests more. It would help sales.

There are a ton of tickets left because the show is a major flop. Broadway tickets are expensive and people will not shell out that cash for a major flop

Keep in mind this is a very conservative source so there's gonna be some bias there. Moore was posting about them being the best selling (non-musical) show on Broadway and then suddenly I'm seeing all this about it not selling well. Seems like as soon as the fall hit it took a turn. Honestly, if they had announced guests in advance (more than by a day or two) it might've helped. No idea what the walk up is like though (meaning how many people buy tickets day of). Eh, I don't care, happy to sit in front of BJA for a couple hours even if all they do is talk about the weather.

Wow. Makes sense though. Maybe he's doing it to help out Michael Mayer, AI struggled to fill seats but every time Billie was in it it would sell out. So maybe he's hoping for a "Billie Joe Bump" 😄

YOu don't fake a 275K loss. If he said they were the best selling non-musical show he was stretching the truth. It is an enormous bomb. Just go and try to order tickets, there are a ton available.

He might be, but these are two very different shows, I don't think it will have the same effect.

Wait it's not a musical? Huh.

Is Billie just going to act or... puppeteer?

No there's no lines, it's like a live talk show almost. You just interact with the host and there might be games. More like improv I guess, which is why I say it could be nerve wracking because you have to think on the fly, but he should be fairly used to that and we know he loves an audience.

Oh i see... that's interesting. I thought micheal mayer was directing, that sort of thing needs a director?

Yeah he does love an audience, but he's also an awkward boy :)

I was thinking more like Farenheit 9/11 the musical or Sicko on ice

Yuge, Yuge, how about you actually read the thread and see that I already admitted that I missed that.

The MIchael Moore show site now says "Undefined special guest Billie Joe Armstrong."

Also, if you'd like other reviews besides Town Hall, you can see more at Show-Score.com

I'm gonna call the theatre and see if I can get some answers because if I just bought tickets to the show based on when they posted he would be on, and he is on a different day, I'm gonna flip.

EDIT: Now it says "Thursday special guest Billie Joe Armstrong" but doesn't say the actual date. Whoever runs the website is gonna drive me insane, haha.

Someone has to get there and give us a full report 🙂

Oh I will be there. Front and center baby! I'll happily report back and maybe sneak a photo at the end (don't wanna get thrown out in the first five minutes).

I'm betting they'll be really strict about phones and I'm not risking getting kicked out so I think the best I can do is a crappy photo at the end. But I'll do what I can!
