Maybe you could add a boost pedal to keep the overdrive more consistant. Also not sure if that was the playing or not, but it seems like the guitar was a little out of sync from the music track. Great playing though! Ha, yeah I misaligned the live camera footage with the audio I recorded. I spent sooo long trying to make it right. I am recording through Logic Pro X using the Vintage British Stack digital amp included with it. All I did was adjust the amp settings. Well, up until June, I'd say you'd be better off getting yourself a nice amp and miking up so your tone sounds more real and authentic, but 1. I have no idea what your living situation or home life is like so I can't guarantee you won't piss off your folks; and 2. That kind of stuff matters when you're miking up an amp live in the room and you have to worry about the air movement around your speakers and how it (as well as your amp and mic) responds to your playing, but recording digitally you're gonna lose some of that detail and natural feel anyway, so it really doesn't make a difference. Of course, that doesn't mean you can get away with playing a quieter part as a full hard strum - no, that kind of difference in dynamics is definitely noticeable - but it means that the difference between how hard you strum now and how hard Billie strums is probably negligible enough where it won't really be that noticeable one way or the other. So yeah, just roll back the gain, boost the bass just a touch, maybe push the mids a bit for more of that punch (not too much, you don't want a sound that's too heavy in the midrange), and you're gold. Bias FX works really well for recording I think and is actually pretty reasonable in price. Sounds great and is really customizable, a little harder to play out loud like an amp though. Something happened though, see below Btw, check where the string cut. If it is around the bridge, is probably there is a pointy or sharp metal part.
