NEW?!?!? Troubled Times video?!?

Really strange.  I don't love the video....but I do like the possibility of more singles by the band!

Somewhere Now

Forever Now

And possibly

Troubled Times

Keep them coming guys.  The world could use some over saturation of green.

Release every song on the album as a single.    I personally thought every track but Somewhere Now could do well and now it's a single so who knows?

Just out of curiosity, what makes you think Somewhere Now couldn't do well as a single?

I dont think anyone has mentioned how distracting Billies bright white new teeth are during this video. They keep catching my attention during the video.

I love the song, I just thought it didn't have a commercial sound to it.

It Was on Facebbok, and the only info i got on his profile is that he likes/follows the Green day official page. This is the guy - https://www.facebook.com/jay.jameson.3192

Jay Jameson is the name of a fictional character in the Marvel Universe and it is mostly a not very known character. It is only known that he is married to aunt May in the Ultimate Spiderman serie.

Now this is really weird... it seems someone used the name to go anonymous. Does someone know if Billie or someone closes to him is a fan of Spiderman?

I forgot to mention that the Facebook account appears to have been created in 2017. If it was older, even without any content, we should be able to see the past years activities on the main page of the account, which isn't the case. We should see the years with blank spaces, but without it, it means it was created in 2017. If the guy has made its account private, normally we shouldn't be able to see what he likes. In addition, why would someone join Facebook and doesn't follow any body at all with the exception of Green Day official account? I know some people don't want to expose their life on Facebook, but, at minimum, they still follow a couple of friends and family. Then why join Facebook if it is to only follow Green Day?

By the way, is it possible to see the original message from the guy?

Anyway, this adds to the mystery of who is BillnTed? (Which username refers to a movie Billie did say he likes.)

I think we've established that all of the accounts that first posted the existence of the video were created solely for that purpose. Anonymity was the intent. If I were a gambler, I'd bet on Billie as the culprit of this multiple hit and run.

Thanks! You made me think of the video in which Billie runs in his red undies.  *Billie does his undercover thing, then runs away with only his undies on.* I have too much imagination.

Well he made at least part of the video in his undies so why not? 😉😁

So if they are the same person he posted here first and then linked to this thread to post it to FB. In both cases going back to fix it when the link was removed (adding it to vimeo and repasting the dropbox link).

Well if it is Billie we should be honored that GDC is the go to source for new releases.

Why isn't this video on GD's Youtube channel? Is it official? Who made it? Billie?

Except - unless google is lying - BillnTed's two posts were made at quite precisely 7 and 11pm respectively Omaha time. I'd assume Billie has better things to do right before and right after a show? I could understand killing time an hour before show start, but straight after?

The plot, it thickens. Again.

No, the account of the person who sent the link to Green Day Brasil's page. I'd suggest reading up on this (beautiful) monster of a thread for (some of) the answers :P

I saw that too! They really want it to be seen  I haven't frequented their facebook page that much but is that something they normally do with news etc? Can't say I've noticed.

It is pretty funny lol, I feel like I'm taking part in an excxiting chapter of GDC history :P

OTOH, he was technically available for both of those posts. If one was during the show I would say he had an alibi. But lately he's been a social media junkie and I can imagine him posting the video at 7 and obsessing over the reaction for the next four hours until he had a chance to check the thread again. Then after the show he reuploaded the link. He clearly wanted feedback and to make sure people saw it.

Yes the Facebook page has had pinned posts before so that is not unusual in itself.

Cool, nice to see Rolling Stone get involved but they clearly don't know anything more than we do, crediting Green Day for the video and linking "RevRad's" vimeo link. I was hoping for an expose. At least the buzz is spreading. Stealth marketing.

I really wanted to read into anything about the dropbox stuff, but MEDA_ASSETS isn't a really interesting folder name...

Oh, I didn't really make it clear in my post, but I think it's more exciting that Green Day shared it with their Twitter

That does work in theory. I don't know which time zone the facebook message is shown in (maybe @legendary can say?) but if it's the same as Omaha (first one sent half an hour after posting it here) then the second one was sent no more than 15mins before they went on stage (unless there was a delay). Still possible I guess

They also shared the Rolling Stone article on their Facebook account again 😂  Funny that even the Rolling Stone doesn't have any more info than we do, they've surely tried to contact the band.

They could have mentioned that the video showed up here of all places. After all, we seem to be the key to all of this. Whatever that means 🤗
