Somewhere now single= being played live?

Then forever now is out imo, they don't need both

I wouldn't have minded it only being a few songs, but it really sucks when they've promised you one thing and delivered something that's not even close.

Well put.  Ruined my evening, but yeah, not the end of the world.  Plus, there's still hope that the promo team are being very protective of recording because they have plans to release something themselves - I definitely wouldn't mind that.

They have whiiiiich plans????

Somewhere now next single and forever now video .... what u think

They may have been led to believe that themselves until they received the recording and it was 45 minutes. They clearly set aside time for it all. Seems they were the ones who were cheated.

Exactly what I'm thinking. I remember the GD team was late sending the radio the song Bang Bang when it was premiering. They are a bit dodgy.

Right, I'm over it. We got ten damn good songs with damn good quality, so we can't really complain. Best thing is to forget about the "full show" fuck-up and be grateful for what we did get.

Yes, let's conserve our energy for the next promo mess up, it can't be far away!

Is this an official youtube channel? A lot of thngs tell me it is and a lot of things tell me it isn't.

No, it's not. A friend originally created it for fun and I (mostly frustrated by Green Day's abysmal promotion) now run it under the same name... I have a second channel with safe-copies of all videos, should the channel be terminated for any reason...

Super convincing with the descriptions! The links and everything at the bottom seem just like the official page. Awesome!

Thank you so much, @MillenniumFan!! Is there also a way to make it available for download on Mega or something?

Yeah, I'm working on it. I currently have to do some work though, but with some luck I'll get to it at lunchtime (CEST) and .mp3 and .flac versions should be online on Mega by early afternoon today (CEST)!

I have to say, as someone who takes about two or three quick photos at a gig because I am too busy trying not to fall over, I can't stand when Billie rants about phones at gigs. The irony of talking about living in the moment and not capturing memories in photos by a guy who then posts four or five photos per gig on IG of himself onstage at said gig. Also Brit and Sara upload so many videos every night from gigs to their stories I lose count. Billie is just terrified he'll fall flat on his face after jumping off a speaker again but maybe this time it will be even more embarrassing (split pants, dodgy patterned underwear complete with epic wedgie while lying face down in his own drool) and will be live streamed

But those pictures are taken by photographers (I think?), so that's kinda their job. And about Britt and Sara, well, they have seen them live so many times  also maybe they just want to share a little bit with the people that is not there :P

But yeah, it's getting a little tiring how he rants about that almost on evey show lol.

I understand taking a few pics or even a vidoe of a couple songs, but if someone is just recoding the whole show on barrier it's kinda annoying, or if your behind someone with their phone in the air all the time, but if they took more pro footage,  they could even just put up a few go pros around the stage of we wouldn't have to take pics or vids the whole time

Yeah I think it is, my only complaint is that I wish his mic was a little bit louder in welcome to paradise.

No, I don't think so. AAF is a mixed bag though, so here's what I think:

Let me tell you what I prefer first:

1. Unlike AAF, the audio isn't auto-tuned and edited to an extent where you sometimes don't even recognize his voice. The recording here is improved with EQ, reverb and other effects, but it still sounds natural and recognizable.

2. The bass is louder, which really wasn't the case on AAF.

This is where AAF is better though:

1. Mastering: You talked about the vocals being too quiet sometimes, well, that's one of the things that audio engineers do, they adjust the levels of each individual track, because the volume doesn't stay constant (What I mean is, you usually can't use one setting throughout the entire track). They also take time to mix in crowd noise, so it isn't too much or too little. I think they did a decent job here in the short time they had, but I did feel like there was slightly too much crowd noise at times (in Revolution Radio for example).

2. Compression: This is the main difference. The audio here is compressed as fuuuuuuuuuuk haha! Seriously, I think in addition to the compression required to broadcast the audio (plus the recordings themselves where probably compressed too before being sent to Absolute Radio) this Radio Station (like many others) deliberately put on an additional ''compression effect'' to make it ''sound cool''. The result is, the audio isn't as wide as on AAF or BIAB and we can't hear things like the guitars, vocals, piano and especially drums in their full glory.  I notice that it's usually the drums that irritate me in these recordings, because they sound so messy (the drums sound much better here than in the Sirius Broadcast though).

So, this means that in AAF the sound is much clearer overall (especially the drums).

However, I'd still say AAF isn't the prime example of a Green Day Live album, BIAB is. I think that live album is pretty much perfectly mixed and mastered and the sound there is absolutely glorios...

@MillenniumFan Thanks that was interesting to read learned something :) ,  I also thought "young blood" sounded really good for a change , I can only describe it as having more bass a deeper sound ? rather than been higher pitch. Also Tre's crash or ride ? were less noticeable too in that song . Probably wrong though haha .

Even though we were lied to about the full set , playing it in a random order made it feel like a live album :)

Yeah, I'm very happy with the recordings we got. But, I still, now more than ever, really really want them to do a live album / DVD! I hope with all the little pro-shot stuff we got since December last year, they're holding it back and working on something or other. It would be such a waste if they did absolutely nothing with it... I mean, even Cuatro featured some live footage. So, come on, this era deserves its fair share of pro-shot stuff too!
