I wouldn't have minded it only being a few songs, but it really sucks when they've promised you one thing and delivered something that's not even close.

Well put.  Ruined my evening, but yeah, not the end of the world.  Plus, there's still hope that the promo team are being very protective of recording because they have plans to release something themselves - I definitely wouldn't mind that.

I really hope so!

Right, I'm signing off, it was lovely to share the evening with you guys even if it was a disappointment in the end!

If it's any consolation I'm basically crying inside :P  This is not what I needed after today

They may have been led to believe that themselves until they received the recording and it was 45 minutes. They clearly set aside time for it all. Seems they were the ones who were cheated.

And I wouldn't mind if I knew we had something special coming to make up for it, but they just don't tell us anything. The natives are getting restless, not the wider audience but the most loyal fans. Time to throw us a bone.

That's world's not ending guys.

I think people know that. It's more the gall of Absolute to dangle the carrot of a full gig and pull it away without saying anything. Some nice stuff from it but not exactly the night reminiscing about a pretty unreal experience I expected.

Who knows, we might be reminiscing with a dvd...

I don't know why I'm surprised after the whirlwind of Green Day emotions I've been on so far this month!

Haha, I was being genuine, but see what you mean. At least we can all cry inside together :therethere:

Ok, so I can tell from the disappointment that we didn't get the full show but what did we get?

45 minutes of excellent sound quality recordings, what they played was brilliant, it just wasn't what they advertised. But it seems that that's more down to Green Day's end than Absolute's.

I think a live album of BST probably lives in the same realm of fantasy as them returning to Glasgow to make up for the cancellation. Anyway I'm just being grumpy for no reason now! I'm going x

Someone did post a list before. Think it was Basket Case, Welcome to Paradise, Bang Bang, Holiday, Revolution Radio, Youngblood, American Idiot, Ordinary World, 21 Guns, and Time of Your Life. Not in that order though necessarily.

First I need to find the number. Here's what they ended up playing (including the horrible breaks in between of course and the censorship)

Basket Case

Bang Bang

Holiday

Revolution Radio

Boulevard Of Broken Dreams

Youngblood

21 Guns

American Idiot

Welcome To Paradise

Ordinary World

Good Riddance

Yeah, it's only the fact that we were expecting so much that makes it disappointing.  If they'd told me we'd be getting 45 minutes of good quality highlights I would still have been very happy.

I missed Boulevard though so I've failed in my task!

Ironically, I've just been promoted to Brat on my profile. Sounds about right tonight :D

Looks like GD just didn't give permission to broadcast more than 45 minutes of the show. It's certainly not the end of the world but the fact that we get almost no material from this great tour is slightly frustrating. I don't understand it and at this point, I seriously doubt that we'll get any more pro-shot-footage OR a live-DVD. I'm incredibly happy that I had the chance to see them live and they are my favourite band. However, It wouldn't hurt to give us some videos or a full show...

Cool thanks for the responses. Looking toward to hearing 21 Guns acoustic. That was a real highlight for me at their Dublin show.

I wish they were playing at the reading festival this year and that guy from 2013 can fuck with the satellite again and we have a full show!
