Once again an absolute own goal from Green Day's promo team, I mean honestly would it bloody hurt to release the rights to the gig?! It's not like they're gonna do anything worthwhile with the recordings is it? Probably sit on a shelf for the rest of eternity

Even the tweet on Billie's twitter sounded like it would be the whole show. WTF?

Currently exporting the video to Youtube for those that missed it (in the order of the broadcast though)...

Thanks! Does it include the beginning little interview with BJA?

No, but it is annoying to be promised something and then it doesn't materialise. Plus I'm still reeling from Glasgow ahaha

The only explanation for not giving the rights would be that they're working on a live DVD.... I seriously hope they are. That's no explanation for saying that we get the whole gig on the radio though, of course.

It'll likely be released once everyone who attended BST is dead and gone and the human race has become extinct

It's a large file though, so it'll take some time lol.

I have both the interview and the "FULL GIG" recorded if anyone wants it.

Disclaimer: FULL GIG means 40 minutes of songs. Which was not even half the set. With ads. A lot of ads. And a fucked up order.

Well, whatever. The quality of the recordings that we did get to hear was absolutely top notch and I really hope more of the gig gets released at some point. The audio quality they've got it good enough to put some sort of live album together

Well this was a bit under whelming, timing wise and the bloody adverts. I think GD are really missing a trick. Can you imagine mid set, they're like 'hold on time for some advert's now on the big screen, so we can flog you stuff'?' It really help's with the flow of the setlist! However saying that it was cool to hear the selected songs that we did. And my goodness how incredible did GD sound? It sounds silly saying that, but sometimes you don't actually realise it when you're surrounded by all the other people in the crowd singing along!

I wouldn't have minded it only being a few songs, but it really sucks when they've promised you one thing and delivered something that's not even close.

Well put.  Ruined my evening, but yeah, not the end of the world.  Plus, there's still hope that the promo team are being very protective of recording because they have plans to release something themselves - I definitely wouldn't mind that.

I fucking hope that's the case.

This is dated 5th July, "full set" :

So either they knew it was false advertising all along, or GD pulled out.
