They met at Gilman Street and she was his first girlfriend. They were together until after Green Day's first tour in 1991. Arica stayed with him in a shitty warehouse when he was homeless. I read somewhere that he also used to write shit about Green Day in the Maximum Rocknroll fanzine after they signed to Reprise, so maybe it had something to do with that. Yeah as far as I know there was quite a long history of disagreements between them. Billie tweeted that Platypus was about him and then deleted it later but I think they've talked about that elsewhere as well. It gets messy when you try to make a list like that because just because someone's been mentioned in connection to a song it doesn't necessarily mean the whole song is about them or even that any of the song is literally about them and not just influenced by them in some way. Like She was a response to a poem she showed him rather than necessarily being about her. And Chump he just mentioned in a list of songs that she was also "on", which could mean anything. I haven't heard him say it's about anyone else but it could be. Still it is interesting to see an attempt at a list and who some songs were about/connected to/influenced by.
