It's an absolutely joke by Green Day standards... it's hard to believe the same guy who wrote American Idiot made this flaming pile of garbage. Why make a political album if you ain't got anything noteworthy to say... it's the same revolution stance they've been doing for years now.

Revolution Radio is Green Day doing what they do best. The songs are great and it's one of my favorite Green Day albums now. Such a breath of fresh air after the trilogy

On the contrary - I like not love Revrad but it would be in my bottom half of albums - I think the whole album makes sense.

I love when lyrics are not straightforward, you can interpret them in different ways and they can mean different things to different people.  I guess some people need things spelled out for them, to make it easier.

God if you actually think that would make a good verse for revrad then that just shows you how mediocre and nonsensical the lyrics are on it. It's just rebellious gibberish.

How could it possibly be a sensible verse? You dissect or analyse every line individually and they make sense to you because they make sense in their original contexts or just as individual sentences but if you read them all together or try to associate them together it's impossible to derive a meaning.

It's not about personal preference in music in this case. I was the one who threw together those fake lyrics. They make no sense.

On another note, It's not like RevRad was following up a mastery of lyricism. Few examples.

Personally I think that a lot of the lyrics in the trilogy - specifically ones mentioned - are more cringe-worthy than RevRad

It's only three people though lol. Rev Rad has some of my favourite Green Day lyrics on it. And I know some Green Day fans find any kind of silly, humourous or tongue in cheek lyrics cringeworthy and love to quote them out of context to "prove it" but not all of us do.
