I’m updating my app to see if that helps. I just got one saying he posted a story as well.

Yeah Instagram notification are just late. Same thing happened to me. I follow a lot of other friends and notifications are like 16 hours late.

haha I think we have this trait in common.  I don't like when things in my world don't make sense 😄  This is going to make me crazy.  When the notification came up I looked at my phone and said "I don't believe you".  But I looked anyway and yeah, nothing.  IG is crying wolf.

Well I don't have that problem over here but that's because I stalk ig several times a day to see if there's anything new

Do you notifications turned on for individual accounts like Tre, Mike, Billie etc? 
 

I check several times a day as well

I do, yes.

But I don't trust notifications so much 'cause there were times I didn't get them at all, and there were new posts I haven't seen.

And I won't talk about the times I did receive a notification and certain man decided to delete the post before I could see it  but that's another story

I think IG notifications are always terrible, they always take hours to come through. It’s a pretty rubbish app really, difficult to share posts etc etc.

Welp... updating did not fix the problem - 2 phantom notifications. One just a few minutes ago saying Mike just shared a story (nothing there), and another saying that Sara shared a story (2hrs ago) - also nothing new.

Of course it's a personal IG. But I honestly have no idea who I have notifications turned on for. So far it's only been to those. These guys are the ones who just happen to be posting the most. DM notes seem to be working fine.

I'm on Android and my girlfriend on Apple and we're having the same problem.
It's Instagram for every accounts I follow.

I’m on an iPhone.  Seems more like a Facebook issue though. Facebook is full of glitches. I’ve also had past IG weirdness where I was getting the same like notification on an old photo from the same person randomly for weeks. Like I don’t think they liked the photo that many times.

Bored of Fink already. I was checking his first post to see if he’s keeping track of when he removed them to make sure they don’t get deleted forever and I don’t remember seeing this caption, he must have seen us freaking out and added something to troll us:

“#MongoFinkForever you see, @billiejoearmstrong his past has been DELETED forever.”
