Green Day Q&A Thread

What Jack White says about the color scheme would not hold up in court. As far as I am concerned, the White Stripes "stole" their color scheme from newspapers... and newspapers took them from somewhere else.

Anyone who's used it since the late 30s stole it from the Nazis, let's be real.

If you want to get down to it... they got the colors from God, they do not own them and they never will.

Well, I've seen pictures of Billie wearing the red tie and black shirt playing at Gilman, so if anything, Jack stole it. He didn't, of course, but he definitely can't accuse Green Day of stealing it.

Let's take it like this.

Woodstock '94. Mike had white T-shirt, Billie had black shirt and red tie.

Where was Jack in '94? Probably experiencing priest pedophillia. :P

The White Stripes' colour scheme was focused on red and white just with some black allowed while Green Day's was focused on red and black just with some white allowed anyway. Not even really the same colour scheme.

However, Jack might say something about you, because red black and white are the colours on your mod tag.

Jack White ranted about how they "stole" the White Stripes' colour scheme but I don't know if Green Day ever responded.

Thankfully Green Day rarely responds to any criticism. I'm sure it'd drive them all a bit nutty having to comment every time Johnny Rotten bitches.

Johnny Rotten lost all relevance when he started advertising butter. He was always a prick (and the only reason I don't like the Sex Pistols much), but now he's just a waster.

Who sings the backing vocal in the "It seems so frightening, time passes by like lightening" part during the bridge of Android, Billie Joe or Mike ?? It kinda sounds like a girl anyway

I don't think so, have you ever seen her Mickey Mouse club performances? She can sing, or at least she could before her breakdown. :)

I saw an article about Billie Joe and Tre being involved with groupies back in 94/95 onwards. Is there any evidence of this? Seems strange since Billie Joe would have been married. I saw the info on a site called "GroupieDirt" and everything else on that site seems somewhat legit

Just curious

I think this was answered a while ago but I can't find it: What are the background vocals/yelling saying in the "I don't care" part of JOS? It's during "Land of make believe, and that don't believe in me" in the background.

I think those are too distorted to decipher a meaning, sadly. And knowing Billie even if we could isolate them and remove the filters they'd still be incoherent. :P

I'm pretty sure Tom deciphered them a few months ago, I just can't find the post.

That was Tre's shouting at the end of Homecoming, I'm pretty sure.

Fair enough, these things tend to blur together after a while.

All I found is they mentioned Billie's dick length and called Tre a "sexual devient", which both are pretty common knowledge

Sure he was, shouting something with his phone or something...

"No! Fuck it!" and something with his phone.

I always heard it as "It's not my fault!", but the evidence would seem to suggest it's his phone, which bums me out.

I think if it was true there would be a lot more than one specific site talking about it. Tre I wouldn't count out, it seems very unlikely for Billie. I'm also positive that rumors like that are started very easily with the lead singer of a rock band.
