Spike
Is this the real Blue or just a replica? Looks like replica to me (colour and stickers), but I read on GDC that Billie was using only original Blue during AI era, so I'm a little bit confused. Looks a lot like a replica to me. It could be that the real one needed repairing at that point so the replica got used as a one off. I remember years ago seeing a clip on youtube of the three harry potter stars (I think from probably 2004 kinda time) on American tv (possibly TRL) talking about meeting Green Day at some party. Apparently, they are fans of the books and movies. First - did this actually happen or am I misremembering it, and secondly, is there footage of this? I've had a look on Youtube, but it's pretty difficult to find. I was having a look for this and the only thing I could find was pretty terrifying.
lizziebix
Kind of an "out-there" question but I'm asking because I really don't know how this stuff works. So... Did Billie Joe get paid to play with the Replacements?

Did Billie Joe get paid to play with the Replacements? One would assume he might get paid, it's a job like any other right? Getting to play with your childhood heroes while getting paid seems like a sweet deal...

WhiteTim
I remember in the GW article they said Blue always has to get the pick ups replaced a lot cause of the sweat that gets into them it's not uncommon that a old guitar that is heavily played will occasionally needs a repair that will take longer than a show to fix

You can tell because it has certain stickers he had on the original and never on the replicas.
grene cniht
Can you guys figure out what's the word after "Kiss me one last time" and right before "off my sweat" in Rotting? All the lyrics sites say it's "wipe", and it would make sense, unless it sounded nothing like that. It just can't be. I hear something like "loathe", but it surely can't either. gnash
Always wondered that myself too... slowed down it sounds a bit like 'bath of my sweat' but I don't think that's right either. Speaking of Rotting, I've only ever seen 'twenty pounds of trust' on lyric sites and that also sounds wrong... On that note I've never figured out Do Da Da either. General consensus seems to be 'Hand up your soul to my wrist And I'll vow my trust to you Moving on and I always thought I realized you've imagined' The first line is definitely 'Handcuff your soul' but any idea on the last two? I can only hear 'moving here I always thought how real you've imagined' which makes no sense... Or maybe I'm deaf...
Todd
Holy shit, my Do Da Da lyrics that I always sing are extremely wrong, I guess I've never thought about listening to the song closely

Whatsinaname
Thank you awesome Mods! "Waiting" is one of my favorite songs. I'm open to Foxboro Hot Tubs so I will listened to them both today!! The Disappearing Boy
Anything that doesn't have swearing. Kids won't (or shouldn't) recognise themes of depression, masturbation, anxiety and suicide, so you should be safe there. But kids will I'm sure love a good beat - When I Come Around fits the bill well, I think.

irishsid
Sorry about the other thread, and thanks for the help. Was wondering if anyone has the Unreleased, Limited, and Rare Songs in a zip or something? Most of the songs take me to a 404 or there isn't a download link at all. kiernakin
Ok, this is a tricky one, but if anyone is able to figure out what the lyrics are to this version of Longview, or at least a link to someone else who has? It's probably somewhere on the internet, but I can't find anything, so any help would be great

Popular Post Hammie Stein
Looks a lot like a replica to me. Looks like replica to me (colour and stickers), but I read on GDC that Billie was using only original Blue during AI era, so I'm a little bit confused. I have spent Years researching blue. The original Blue has pretty much always been used. Billie has never had "replicas" as such. During the Nimrod era, Billie had Several FENDER guitars with the same paint job as blue made for him. These had different stickers, and were used for the songs from Nimrod that were tuned to E Standard, while blue was Tuned to E flat for Pre Nimrod Songs. After the nimrod tour, Billie started using Juniors etc for the E songs, and these "Replicas" were not used again. But then, on the South American Leg of the 21st Century Breakdown tour, Billie didn't use blue. He used a guitar that was actually another Fernandes. This one was blue, but was a bit lighter coloured than Blue was. It again, had the same pickup with different stickers. That was used as I believe Blue was getting repaired/Refretted at the time. You see, billie never had replicas, so All the pictures of blue you see, are the real blue unless they are the Nimrod Guitars, or from the 21st Cent South America Leg.
