Libertine Angel
Misery almost sounds like it was written by Tom Waits. Billie was definitely listening to Rain Dogs when he came up with that one. He said (not sure when) that "watching Disney movies will change you. A tune like Misery sounds like it could have come straight out of Aladdin." Spike
American Eulogy sounds more like a Disney song than Misery, but maybe that's just the production.
Backyard Skulls
Did green day ever play Scotland in their really early days, like in 91/92, while they were in the UK then? Earliest I can find is the barrowlands in
Hermione
Does anybody know if Billie has cats? I think I remember seeing that he has a brown tabby named Cleveland that he's had for a while now. Are there any others? Yeah Cleveland is the brother of Zero who was killed many years ago as mentioned. I remember him saying he had a cat named Basil Exposition after an Austin Powers character in an interview from ages ago (possibly around Warning times) as well. I don't know if he has any more now or not, but around American Idiot times there were two different quick Q&As where the band were asked "Dogs or cats?" where he picked cats, so he's obviously a cat fan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNngZEBDcyY

They played the Wee Red Bar in Edinburh in 1991 but I always thought their next gig in Scotland was at Barrowlands in '98.

They referred to it in a couple of interviews last year so it's legit. It's quite difficult to account for all of an band's early shows. That legendary Wigan show was 1993 so I wouldn't be surprised if they hit Scotland at the same time.

My point was more that 11 year olds generally aren't going to see small punk shows in clubs But yeah, they toured like crazy in 1993, so it's definitely possible. Green Day's 93 European tour lasted from April to May, and it's likely that we have many dates from that missing in the live guide, so it is very possible
SfarrInsomniac
Does anyone know why the interview with 5 year old Billie Joe for Look for Love is at the beginning of Maria? I thought it was possible that it was done because it had been 25 years since his first album. Am I over thinking this?

I think it's because after all 5 albums, Billie still felt 'wonderful' and wanted to show that on the greatest hits album.
