The guy with mohawk, mother with daughter and the punk couple. Maybe they're still active in the media as GD fans or just concert goers? Just wondering. The couple who met in a bank got married and they posted about it occasionally posted on here years ago. They even showed pictures of the wedding The guy who comes in early when singing American Idiot use to be a mod on here but sadly isn’t as active anymore. Still see him post on social media though, his name is Tony and he’s an absolute sweetheart 5
deadair
Did anybody open for The Network at their gig at the Key Club in West Hollywood in 2003?
deadair
Did Tre really appear in the Jackass: 24 Hour Takeover marathon special in 2008? It said he did on wikipedia, but unless I missed it, I couldn't find any clip with him in it online.
That Dude
I had read somewhere that Billie Joe and Tim Armstrong are cousins. I mentioned this on Youtube in an older video, but now I'm getting comments with people freaking out and rage quitting the video. Is the Rancid fanbase actually rancid, or what? Maybe it's an isolated thing. For everyone's benifit, here are some fanbases you better not interact with online: Idles and Judas Priest. Never say anything bad OR good about either of those, you'll get a skull crackin'. Lol Just to confirm, Billie Joe and Tim are not related in any way, correct? I guess I need to start filming one of those cliche "youtuber apology videos", but make them even madder. I will say they are actually identical twins and that Tim fronts Green Day while Billie plays bongos in the Network, haha.

Unhelpfully, Billie has said said both that Tim is his cousin and not his cousin, but I think the latter is true. 1

deadair
For anyone who many have went to the Hella Mega tour last year, did they still play "Whip It" by DEVO over the PA system before "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Blitzkrieg Bop" prior to them coming on like the previous couple tours? pacejunkie punk
Anyone know what it means when an album is trending on Spotify? Is that a big deal? I just saw that Stop, Drop & Roll! is a trending album not sure why but that’s cool. (Only thing I can think of is that it’s near the anniversary of their last performance at SXSW)

Maybe someone online talked about them or something, making people give it a listen.
Little Boy Named Booze
Still waiting for an item I bought on the Green Day store since March 16th. The item seem stuck in L.A. since March 24th. Do you guys know if it's always that long?
dreamykatie
Oh no I hope you get your items soon! It might be USPS, my friend owns an Etsy business and some packages still take a long time to get to her clients even when she ships them out ASAP. Does anyone know if any of Green Day's things are still on display at the rock n roll Hall of fame? I know Blue isn't obviously, but I recall reading that one of the things on display there is an old hw assignment of Billie's from when he was like 9 saying he wanted to grow up to be a rock star and some other interesting things. Asking because my sister and I are gonna drive from NC to Springfield, IL in early May and we're gonna have to take a stop somewhere and I believe Cleveland is on the way. dreamykatie
Yeah, thank you both! Hopefully my sister and I can have the time to visit (we're visiting my dad's family), I looked at the website and it looks really fun! another question (well I guess it's two in one), the other day I was listening to Penelope Houston's re-recording of Corpus Christi she did in the 2000s and for some reason the YT vid says 'featuring Billie Joe Armstrong' even though I couldn't hear him at all? Does that mean he produced it or something? Adding onto that, after I listened to that this video came up for me. I was shocked bc I don't really think that Friends would be something Billie would sing for, at least back in '99. He only sings the backing vocals but it doesn't really sound like him, so is this actually him? And does anyone know the backstory behind it? dreamykatie
Thanks for the quick response! I'll totally check it out, I really loved the documentary about the East Bay punk scene and I'd love to learn even more about it! Just gotta get thru the seven other books on my waiting list...

MillenniumFan
Anyone know who did the mixing for this broadcast? I suppose it could have been someone from MTV. I know that for the 2009 MTV worldstage one it was Chris Lorde-Alge and for AAF it was Chris Dugan. But who mixed this? I think whoever it was did a fairly decent job. It's a very high-energy mix and I certainly prefer it too AAF's one.

dreamykatie
So I went to B&N to pick up some manga to take on the plane with me to NC where I'll be visiting family for a bit. Their record section is right in front of the manga section now, so I went thru a few of them and saw Green Day's Insomniac but it was the 25th-anniversary edition. (And thus I got it, even tho I don't like Insomniac all that much besides for a few songs, and the album art is just stunning.) My question is that on the official website or somewhere when they describe including a select few songs from the live Prague show it's referred to as 'infamous'. Does anyone know why that is? Or if it's not infamous, why did they choose the Prague show specifically?
