The phone message song is "What About Today", which is impossible to find on Youtube. I've uploaded it here for quick listening

"Stay" is an unreleased song that was previously known as "World vs. World" until we got the real title confirmed by John Kiffmeyer this year.

Both songs can be downloaded here :)

Hell yeah, thanks my guy

Anyone know where I can find the shortened radio version of Jesus of Suburbia? I'm curious to see what's different.

does anyone remember back in 2001 when they were posting those voice messages on their site, they posted cover versions of 'santa claus is coming to town', 'rockin around the christmas tree', 'the first noel'

I've uploaded the Christmas ones to Youtube

I guessing you meant to post this in the Q&A thread (not the fangirls thread), so moved it here :)

some random places have it listed as being called "what about today", while other people use that title as a second title to "world vs world" or "stay"... basically i don't know what the deal is with all that. anyone who can shed some light on any of this would be rad. i'm also just looking for that voice message song that sounded like a network song if anyone has a link that'd be amazing...

I have the network song on my itunes (at least I did last time I checked!) If it's not available to download anywhere I'll find a way to upload it to YT maybe.

Did Jason White play guitar on the American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown albums. It seems like they never play songs from these 2 albums without him even when they appear to be in a studio setting and many of the songs appear to have 2 guitar parts.

I don't believe he did, but there can be more than one guitar part when you're in a studio and play all the instruments separately. Jason's pretty important onstage because it means Billie can concentrate on crowd interaction.

Does anybody know the circumstances behind this pic?

I'm a little late to the party but it looks like they're trying to say, "I saw him first, he's mine!"

Random question but does anyone know the name of this guy with the bunny?

I got to know and talk to a lot of their crew during their South American tour (Tom, Thomas, Arturo... great guys!) but never found out the name of this one :P

Why wasn't All By Myself included on Green Day Rock Band despite the fact that every other track on Dookie was included.

Probably the same reason why they didn't play it live when they played Dookie in its "entirety" in 2013 :P

Also Rock band requires multitrack songs All By Myself was recorded at a party so a multi track probably doesn’t exist

Also the game has a 12 rating. On the songs that are on there cutting swear words was enough to keep it at that but it would be pretty hard to make All By Myself age 12 friendly.

This annoys me though, like why not? They played it in 2012 as well so there's literally no excuse :P. Luckily I was at both shows so combined I saw it all

I thought this was Tre's drum tech, Kenny Butler, but Tre said in the drummer world interview that he retired, unless he came out of retirement to tour with them?

Why didn't they play it when they played Dookie in it's entirety back in 2013.

Didn't know about this, it's probably the reason although they probably could've separated the guitar and vocals using some of the techniques they used on The Beatles Rock Band.

Because they're dumb :P (literally no other reason)

No worse than Longview though and obviously that was included. Nice use of the term "pretty hard" by the way

 I think it's worse than Longview. Longview talks about the subject in a more serious and less overtly sexual way (to the point that a casual listener might not notice what it's about other than when it actually says "masturbation" - even then the most proper serious term for it), whereas All By Myself is totally creepy and pervy in every way with heavy breathing etc.

You really think so? That's interesting because I thought the total opposite. It took me months to realise what All By Myself was about, even after I became a super fan. However, the first time I listened to Longview, I pretty much knew what it was about by the end of the first chorus - the actual use of the word "masturbation" later in the song only confirmed it. I really thought Longview was much more obvious (although maybe it was all down to my dirty mind lol).

Maybe it's because I was 10 when I first heard Dookie, but I didn't notice the subject of Longview for years, yet I kinda got All By Myself right away.

Longview is more straight up about it but isn't entirely about it whereas All By Myself is more innuendo but is exclusively about it so i'd say they're equally as innapropriate but regardless they had to include Longview because it's the band's first single and the song that got them on the map.
