Beerjeezus
I'd pay $60 for the pit while grinding my teeth, plus possible travel expenses. (And additional sum to bribe security to let me on stage.)

Holy fuck no, £55 was enough of a stretch for the Emirates.

I think music fests are outside of their control to be fair, but yeah that's quite a bit

I think festival prices are set no matter who performs actually, but I could be wrong.

If a Green Day show tries to pull something like that I'd be pretty content with watching it on youtube. I've done it for 11 years I can do it for the rest of my life. Hm no, that's really not the same. When you go to GD shows, it's not only about seeing them like seeing them on TV. It's about being there, feeling them. Once you've experienced it, you're probably willing to pay almost anything (not that I'm hoping the tickets for the next world tour will cost 500 dollars!!!). 2013 I paid 165 euros (about 185 dollars) for Rock am Ring. I got a bad cold that weekend, so I didn't go camping and didn't watch any of the other bands. On Sunday, I drove 5 hours only to see the GD show (weather was very very cold and foggy) and 5 hours back right after the show. In the end, I had paid 165 euros just for GD (and a bad bronchitis for the next couple of weeks, btw), but it was still worth it 10.000 times
Beerjeezus
$500 is approx. one half of an average salary over here, but most people don't even have that so it's rather about 3/4 of a monthly income. There's no way I'd ever pay so much for any show.
RedundantIdiot
On my iPod, Macy's Day Parade appears as ''Macy Day's parade''. Why?

PursuitOfEpicness
When a band doesn't have VIP meet and greet for like hundreds of dollars to me it means that they see themselves as already having a relationship with their fans so much that they don't have to charge you so much to feel close to them if that makes sense? Also I've heard so many stories about them meeting lucky people after shows at the bus and all over the place and they never seem to mind. They don't view themselves on a pedestal. It's not fair to be like "only rich kids can meet us".

Mike did a meet and greet for free here in Rochester in 2013, then I waited outside by their busses for a few hours and they came out to talk to fans and take pictures with us and stuff. They were brief, but they made an effort to say hi to everyone. All of them except Billie, I think I was the only person he missed But I'd highly encourage everyone to wait by the busses after the show. It may be an hour or two wait (they usually have a table of food set up inside after the show!) but it's worth it!

Teenage Lush
i'm honestly really glad they don't do the VIP meet and greet shit cause i know i'd buy it despite the fact that it would definitely be way out of my price range i haven't really done the whole waiting by the buses thing since i was like, 13 and it seems kinda weird to me now but every time i see them i'm always hoping to just randomly run into them, ngl
amberwhite
I was lucky enough to meet the Replacements by hanging out by the buses. It's definitely worth it.
