Z J
16 MUSICIANS LOSING THEIR SHIT ON STAGE GREEN DAY If you’ve ever seen a toddler throw a fit because it’s past his bedtime, then you should already be familiar with Billie Joe Armstrong’s legendary tantrum at the iHeart Radio Music Festival in 2012. After Green Day got their set cut short to make room for Usher, Billie dropped the f-bomb almost as many times as America has had to hear that stolen intro on “American Idiot.” He reminded everyone that he’d been around since “fucking nineteen eighty fucking eight” and that he “is not Justin Bieber, you motherfuckers” before smashing his guitar and tossing the mic. He checked in to rehab two days later. Eyeliner is a hell of a drug. http://noisey.vice.com/blog/16-musicians-losing-their-shit-on-stage Well whoever wrote this can kindly fuck off

AlissaGoesRAWR
I didn't say you had. But obviously there's a fine line between discussing the concept and speculating, and crossing it is just an invasion of privacy (not saying people are trying to, just that it is and it's a fine line). Oh yes, I agree. I just hate how there's a dynamic on here of the "OMG HE'S RELAPSED!" people and the "HOW DARE YOU SPEAK OF IT" people. I just wish there was a happy medium, y'know? We can talk about it without everyone having a shit fit. I'd never claim to have a clue what's going on in that brain of his, nor do I care, as long as he's happy, his family's fine and the band is still together and touring on occasion.
Sanity Loan
Isn't there a topic for Billie's issues? It would be great if discussion took place there.
Hermione
Isn't there a topic for Billie's issues? It would be great if discussion took place there. Nah that would give it more importance than it deserves. It's alright to comment if a mention of it comes up and is posted here (I doubt this small discussion is going to go on for pages and pages, looks like it's pretty much over to me), and if a bigger piece of news relating to it came up we'd have a thread for it, but we don't need a whole thread just for speculating about it when it's a private matter and there's nothing of substance to discuss.

Didn't know about that. The little interview posted with it is cool as well, although I noticed nothing about that fact is actually mentioned in it. Annie, get your gun
Green Day was featured in the new issue of Kerrang! GreenDay.com Kerrang! has a massive huge collection of their pics and they're always posting the same, don't they wanna share new ones? Damn! Rock Star Celebrity Lookalikes: For the first installment of this series (inspired by Chad Smith and Will Ferrell), we feature celebrity lookalikes for: Eddie Vedder, Andrew Stockdale, Billie Joe Armstrong, and Black Francis. Blue Mountain State star Darin Brooks and Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong http://www.alternativenation.net/?p=48873 Alex was my favorite (and the cutest) from BMS, but what the hell, Billie cannot be compared with anyone !

There probably was no better song in 1994 that captured that "slacker" mentality (pot smoking! boredom! other things we can't say!). It's also likely the best thing ever to come from being high on LSD, as bassist Mike Dirnt said he was doing when he wrote the bass line.
