From Green Day on Facebook:

Message from Mike:

Dear Green Day Family,

Recently my wife Brittney was diagnosed with breast cancer.

We have started our battle and she is enduring treatment as we speak! We want you to know that
Brittney (Batmansmom) is strong and with the help of Amazing doctors, support from family, and positive thoughts/prayers from our Green Day family, SHE WILL BEAT THIS!
This is going to be a challenging year, but we are determined to get though this as quickly and
openly as possible.

We love you all, and we will be checking in as best as we can, via Instagram: @batmansmom @mike_dossxx and www.GreenDay.com.

Rage and Love
Mike and Britt

Something Unpredictable: 19 Graduation Songs That Aren't Green Day

Picture this: you're four Natty lights deep, hanging in your off-campus apartment and reminiscing with roommates about that thing that happened freshman year. (You know the one.) You're doing an awesome job at fighting off the impending doom that is real life, and then it happens. Some idiot decides to play that godforsaken Vitamin C song, "Graduation (Friends Forever)," off his iPhone -- or worse, some bro whips out an acoustic guitar and starts covering Green Day's "Good Riddance (Time Of Your LIfe)." This is a buzzkill.

This isn't "new" 'cause it's super-pretty-old :ga: But I think it's cool and I don't know where else to post it.

I was getting worried, I hadn't seen the obligatory weekly Kerrang post in here for a while.

Hardly surprising, they've just announced a new album coming out next year, a b-sides compilation this summer, headlining a shit ton of festivals again over the next few months, and then they're off to South America and Australia to play a shit ton more shows. There's plenty going on with them to report, although because it's Kerrang they of course chose Lego

Not so much with Green Day :P

Well I wasn't comparing Green Day to Biffy so there was no need to throw in a last second dig at Green Day.

Green Day American Idiot
Even punks grow up eventually and Green Day’s rock opera epic American Idiot finds the California trio putting the bratty attitude on the back burner in the pursuit of emotionally charged songwriting that reflects post-9/11 society.

I posted it in the main thread earlier but more people will see it here. Full audio of Billie Joe playing with The Replacements is now on Youtube.

How much of the set did Billie play on?
