THE 10 GREATEST ROCK STARS OF ALL TIME

BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG

The Green Day legend has owned stadiums and arenas all over the globe; sold, like, a BILLION records with Green Day; turned American Idiot into a Broadway musical (and even performed in it himself) - and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. And can we talk about his infamous “I’m not fucking Justin Bieber, you motherfuckers!” foul-mouthed rant at the iHeart Radio Music Festival? That was pretty damn rock’n’roll, too, if you ask us.

'American Idiot'

Green Day's "American Idiot," the musical, will make its way to Cleveland for three days, beginning Friday. The show, based on the rock band's 2004 album of the same name, is a high-energy rock opera that has drawn comparisons to "Rent." The performances will take place at PlayhouseSquare's Palace Theatre. LOL "United States- All states"

Well stating all states for U.S. Is easier to fit than squeezing all 50 states in it

One direction are fans of Green Day and soundchecking Green Day songs

http://www.unrealitytv.co.uk/showbiz/listen-one-direction-bogota-soundcheck-green-day-setlist/

The band have definitely had a more rock vibe of late and it seems they’re planning to go with that style of music, as they were heard rehearsing Wake Me Up When September Ends by Green Day in the stadium.

We have known for a while that the 1D lads are massive fans of Green Day and when he attended the MTV Video Music Awards in 2012 Niall Horan confessed:

“We’re excited to see Green Day ’cause growing up Green Day were like one of the big bands around of our generation…So it’d be exciting to meet them. ”

7 rock albums that would make great musicals

Green Day's "American Idiot," the musical, will open at the Palace Theatre on Friday, April 25, bringing one of the biggest rock albums of the 2000s to the musical stage.

For most people that have heard Green Day's 2004 concept album, it's probably not surprising its gone on to become a fist-pumping stage production. If there is an album from 2000s that could seamlessly transition into a full-blown musical, it is "American Idiot." But it's not the only one.
