I guess this is the best place to post this. I talked to Lady Cobra on the phone yesterday. My question I asked was how much she wrote of Nightlife and how much Billie wrote. She said it was mostly her, which was to be expected, but it's a cool thing to actually know. I mean, for all we knew before, Billie could've written most of her parts.

Cool. And out of curiosity how did you come to speak to her on the phone?

So Billie's favorite color isn't actually "candy apple, gurl." Darn it.

He wrote all of the parts he sings.

Didn't Billie say in an interview that he gave her the first line and asked her to write a rap based on it?

Considering there's that clip in Cuatro of him basically writing his parts of the song, I think it's safe to assume he wrote his parts and she wrote hers.

10. GREEN DAY - AMERICAN IDIOT

Can you believe that Green Day's seventh studio album almost didn't sound like this? The band's original masters for their release at the time, titled Cigarettes And Valentines, were stolen, so Billie Joe and co. were faced with the option of re-recording their original material, or starting again from scratch. Luckily, they opted for the latter, and released massive tunes like this one. Phew!

Just saw on Billbaord's twitter account that Billie Joe was singing with The Replacements at Coachella!

News coming soonish for new pressing colors for Warning LP, Minority and Waiting 7''s. If you missed out on any other colors, you'll have a chance to grab a few more limited versions of it in the coming weeks.

A new color for "Warning" will be (dark) RED.

Too much hate for Green Day here....

And Dookie. Dear god, Dookie. Of all the weird revisionism around 1994 — and believe me, there’s been plenty — this takes the fucking biscuit. The consensus today seems to be that Green Day were fine until they started trying to be U2. They weren’t. They were never fine. They were always awful. As if the very existence of Fat Wreck Chords wasn’t evidence enough, they were conclusive proof that people from California should never, ever be allowed to form punk bands.

WTF @.@

People have different opinions. The author of that just wants to sound different to everyone else who has been saying how great music was in 1994.
