Random Green Day News

Imagine someone whose unfamiliar with the band, who decides to check them out after seeing them in Kerrang! a few times. They're then introduced to this amazing collection of music that we all know and love, they eagerly await new music, they go to the concerts, they meet someone who also likes the band, make friends, etc. They have a new soundtrack to get them through the bad times and to play along with the good times.

That alone makes it worth it.

Green Day mentioned in this article: http://blog.sfgate.com/stew/2014/01/20/bay-area-rock-and-roll-landmarks/#18844103=0&19518101=9

San Francisco may have the rock clubs, but many of the region’s most famous bands formed on the city’s outskirts. The Grateful Dead congealed on the Peninsula, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Green Day got their starts in the East Bay, and Huey Lewis put a Mill Valley bar on the cover of his band’s most famous album.

I think that AXS TV aired a random green day's video ( Fox Theater, 2009 ), during a Grammy Award Tv Special

They played part of Green Day's Fox Theater show from 2009, an hour's worth of songs.

American Idiot mentioned in this

6 Must-Hear Punk Rock Concept Albums

Hate all you will, but American Idiot is a really, really good pop-punk album. It’s not without its faults, but I’ve found that the people who most hate American Idiot are the same people who think Green Day IS punk. They’re not. Not really. They’ve always played fast and loud, but Dookie, Insomniac, Nimrod, they’re all polished pop with raucous guitars. American Idiot made this is obvious, and it pissed a lot of POSEURS off. But goddamn, those “Jesus of Suburbia” hooks. You know the story: Jimmy heads to the big city, he falls in love with Whatsername, something something George Bush sucks. Oddly, for an album that sounds SO 2004, when Bush was reelected president, American Idiot has aged remarkably well. Except for “Wake Me Up When September Ends.” F*ck that song.

Hopefully Tre uses his new drums when they come to Australia.

He used them at the Dreamforce Conference so I'm sure he'll use them in Australia.

Just found this picture, and it says they're rehearsing at the Grammys!! http://www.gettyimages.in/detail/news-photo/singer-miranda-lambert-and-musician-billie-joe-armstrong-news-photo/464698851 I'm so confused, who is that woman? I thought he would be there with Norah. It's so weird...

Miranda Lambert, a country singer, according to the caption.

Yes but I'm wondering why he won't do a performance with Norah Jones? Why with a singer he never collaborated with before? I wonder what song they will sing..
