Hermione
This little story from a guy in Ocean Colour Scene about Billie beating up one of the other band members back in the day amused me, also hearing him referred to as "Billie Armstrong" is funny for some reason lol. That Dude
The Offspring's podcast is one of the best things out there. Noodles was talking to producer Bob Rock about how Punk is great, but they are inspired by all manner of music from across the spectrum and listed off some older and newer artists that might inspire them, including "the new Green Day record" or something like that. I think he was generalizing and didn't necessarily mean Saviors, but you never know. Offspring had a huge impact on the new Sum 41, and I'm excited to hear Sum 41 and Green Day coming through on the upcoming Offspring record. Release date somewhere between 2025 and sometime after time itself ends. Sounds like a new single the end of 2024 and the album in 2025 sometime as they gear up some big tours. Man, The Offspring was my second favorite band when I was a teenager. I still like this band. It would be so cool that Green Day and The Offspring do something together. I was so glad when I watched photos of Tré with Noodles and Dexter Holland!! Back in the 90s/2000s there was a rumor that both bands didn't get along well, but now it is wonderful to watch this good mood and respect vibe they have.
Rumpelstiltskin2000
Not news exactly but a brief look back of GD debuting 21CB and setlist https://www.facebook.com/share/p/fqMYr9MrKLczoCjM/ What we'd give for that setlist these days! 1
Popular Post billy1986
Best Green Day live era ever….2 encores on most nights 33-34 songs…saw them in MSG on the breakdown tour they played Disappearing Boy, Drama Queen (then unreleased) and would just ask fans what they wanted to hear. Peak GD that album tour. 4

Peak GD that album tour. Agreed, my first GD show was 21st CB tour in 2009, and saw them again the next summer at Wembley. Amazing setlists and performances! I think the absolute peak has to be them playing one of those epic long arena shows in London, then driving across town and playing a 2 hour Foxboro Hot Tubs show at 1am the same night (which I was lucky enough to see, total trip seeing GD for the first time one week and then that the next and I will never get over it lol). Great sense of community thanks to GDC too talking about it all on here and meeting people at the shows. Favourite era. 4

For a band that always wanted to have a legacy and leave something important behind yet were told you couldn't get big making their kind of music, it's a tremendous achievement. Congrats to our boys
