Dolly Parton had recorded We Are The Champions / We Will Rock You and.... it's actually great!     Green Day, either show her how it's done with a studio version or join her.

I meant to post this in The Network Thread, but I keep ending up on this stupid Green Day forum.   Anyway, for a good time, read the band description:

Woah! Amazing article.

It's strange to have been at every places he said he went. Always great to hear about my city.

I thought it was a really interesting article, Larry still asks the best questions, possibly because he has known them so long.  We have always known Billie keeps an eye on the crowd, but that was so interesting about his rationale for throwing in hey oohs which I know a lot of us wish he would do less of.

10 Great Rock Music Singles That Never Appeared On An Album

10. Lights Out - Green Day

For their 2009 album 21st Century Breakdown, Green Day selected the song Know Your Enemy as the lead single. The song, which was a simple punky rock track, is a fan favourite amongst the group's fans, but how many of them bothered to flip the single over and see what was on the other side?

Metaphorically, of course. Actual physical singles hadn't been popular for a long time by 2009.

Know Your Enemy had two B-sides. One was called Hearts Collide and the other is the subject of this entry, Lights Out.

At just two minutes and 16 seconds, there isn't much of Lights Out, but it crams a lot of action into a short space of time. A frantic burst of power chords and Billie Joe Armstrong sounding a bit cross, the track is punchy and to the point, like all good punk-inspired music should be.

Lights Out never made it to 21st Century Breakdown, nor any other Green Day studio release for that matter, which is a shame as it could have easily found a home there.

There were 18 songs on that album, for crying out loud, surely there was room for one more?

10 terrible punk albums with one classic song

Green Day - Know Your Enemy (21st Century Breakdown, 2009)

Far from an artistic disaster, Green Day's sixth studio album, 2000's Warning, limped slowly towards gold certification in the US, and critical consensus around the start of the new millennium held that Billie Joe Armstrong's band would soon slide quietly out of view. That notion, however, was blown out of the water by the East Bay trio's remarkable, multi-faceted American Idiot album, a rock opera for a new generation. With 2009's 21st Century Breakdown, Green Day aimed to make another Big Statement, but choked on their own ambition, delivering an over-long three act collection sagging with overblown, relentlessly mediocre material. To be fair, the plodding 21 Guns has racked up over 500 million plays on Spotify, so clearly it's struck a chord with many, but really it's the album's combative first single, Know Your Enemy, which is the sole true banger here. For better or worse, Green Day haven't shot for the moon since.

12 BEST PUNK DRUMMERS OF ALL TIME

9. Tré Cool, Green Day

Sure, many like to moan and groan that “Green Day isn’t punk.” But, they really were and are punk. They just happened to be the band to bring punk rock to the mainstream. Perhaps part of that distaste for Green Day from punk’s contingent is the fact that they did bring punk from the underground to the masses. Regardless, Tré Cool’s drumming is a large part of Green Day’s sound. The three-piece is tight and steady, and it’s hard to imagine a Green Day track without Cool contributing his steady rhythms.

This is about as random as it gets, but Ivanna Sakhno, who was in the Bang Bang music video, is now in the Ahsoka series as Shin Hati.

Crazy how popular she's become nowadays.
