Tickets are not sold out. RIR alwaYs do a early presale of 100 thousand tickets. The rest will only be sold next year, in April

Thanks for the info. I didn't know that. At least I still have an opportunity to see them. But I'm still hoping they play other shows besides RiR.

I love how everyone seems to be aware of the regular “come to Brazil” cry, and how some folk are commenting that on these announcements 😂😂

I love to see these articles etc but is there any allowance made for the mad prices the Rolling Stones charge compared to the less mad ones of other artists?  I know Hella Mega was expensive in US but given different artists charge different amounts, it doesn't feel like a level playing field?

You do raise a good point since it is not an apples-to-apples comparison. If one were to do some sort of statistical analysis they would want to control for this; I feel like numbers of tickets sold or tickets sold as a percentage of venue capacity would be a better way to measure.

Not sure if this has been posted anywhere but I just saw a commercial for Miley Cyrus and Pete Davidson's New Years thing and it listed Billie as a performer.

At the 9 second mark, I hear what sounds like "So long"

It could be "solo" but no.

I believe Green Day have recorded a cover of MCR's Helena.

That's where we're at now, folks.

A team up of Green Day and MCR or at least Gerald Way could be very cool.

Nightlife Zero, anyone?

I could honestly see a Gerard Way collab. Heck, MCR is reunited now even if their comeback tour seems to be perpetually on hold thanks to covid. And with the music market turning back toward rock/alternative music, now would be the time for something like this.

Stardew Valley Fan Performs 'American Idiot' by Green Day Using Flute and Drum Blocks

Stardew Valley has made its mark in history as one of the most impactful indie games of the last decade. After all these years, players are still finding new ways to create tributes to things they love using the game's trappings. Recently, one Stardew Valley player pieced together a sprawling musical display that brings a charming cover of Green Day's iconic pop-punk song "American Idiot" to life on the farm.

The game contains furniture items called flute blocks and drum blocks that Stardew Valley players can use to create music when walking. These items play a sound when a player walks past and will continue to repeat the sound once per second if the player stands near them, with the pitch being adjustable. This isn't the first time players have used flute blocks and drum blocks to create musical tributes, but it may be one of the most recognizable.

15 Bands Who Reinvented Themselves

Green Day, 'American Idiot' (2004)

You didn’t really expect a lot of pop punk bands to grow up. When listening to Dookie back in the day, you would have sworn that Green Day were going to write snotty punk songs for the rest of their lives…then the Bush administration happened. After writing the title track for American Idiot, Billie Joe Armstrong assembled an entire rock opera centered around kids trying to find their identity in a country that seemed to be falling apart. In a scene that was all about the bratty teen lyrics, the most punk rock thing you could have done was buck the trend and put out something like this.

The 'Big 4' of 10 Rock + Punk Subgenres

Green Day

If there’s one band that rivals Blink-182 for pop punk hegemony, it’s Green Day. Beyond being incredibly successful and influential (thanks to landmarks like 1994’s Dookie and 2004’s American Idiot), the trio earn distinction due to Billie Joe Armstrong’s unique voice, their sonic flexibility and their intersections of riotously political and reservedly personal songwriting.
