I love Foreverly so much! It's definitely one of Billie's most underrated side projects. Really cool that it's getting some love!

Absolutely . I played it on repeat with my girlfriend when she started staying over first. I’d light a candle and we would both fall asleep to it . ....
It always takes me back to that magical time so I love this album. ...

Has there ever been talk of a volume 2 ?

The success of Dundee-made film Schemers has sparked plans for a trilogy featuring Nirvana and Oasis.  Filmed in London and Edinburgh it will boast a hard-hitting soundtrack from Nirvana, Rage Against the Machine, Green Day and Smashing Pumpkins. https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/nostalgia/1906657/like-schemers-on-speed-trilogy-featuring-oasis-and-nirvana-planned-for-madcap-dundee-made-movie/

Anyone have any guesses why Spotify US (and other platforms here and elsewhere I’m told) have removed American Idiot the original album and left only the deluxe version? They used to have both

When you go to the artist page and then discography only the deluxe version shows. Someone said it’s there if you search but I don’t see it listed in the discography like before

“Green Day has always felt like the government is against the common man, and that’s never more clear than with the estate tax. It’s like being taxed twice — that’s worth more than the Iraq war in my opinion,” songwriter Billie Joe Armstrong said while trying to find a rhyme for “adjusted taxable gifts.” “I realized my kids are going to get taxed on anything they inherit over $5.5 million dollars. I was so angry, the lyrics just started pouring out. It’s such bullshit, and I know our fans will see it that way too.”

Rich people problems 😂😂😂

this though:

“And while it was disappointing, the song is still better than anything off of ‘Father of all Motherfuckers.’ I’ll take a song about them complaining about their wealth as long as it sounds more like a song off ‘Dookie.’”

“Rumors allege the B-side to the EP is about boat storage fees and marina dues.”

I’m dying

Is this a reliable source? It seems more like someone mocking Green Day, and not a real story

Nope. Definitely not a reliable source. The Hard Times is a satirical website with a focus on punk alt music

If I hadn't had a critical thinking I would have believed in first in the arcticle... and not coming here and asking about it

Well I'm glad it's not real. 😅  I have to say it did not sound like them and I would have been very surprised if that was true. There's even an interview where Billie literally says "...I believe the rich should be taxed more." Damn those satirical websites!

It’s horrifying that for some reason this probably looked more realistic than any of the countless other satirical articles about Green Day. Billie does seem a bit out of touch now and then, but this is way more unhinged than anything he’s said or done so far.
