I know! They’re ugly as fuck 😭 I really want them to make Funko Pop Vinyls of them they’d be adorable.

That would be amazing! I swore off POP figures after my Cobain one, but if they did a GD set? They'd totally have my money.

I am agreeing with this tweet!!!  Put the f...ing phones away

I think there's a right and a wrong way to use phones. Most people just use them wrong. I really don't see anything wrong with snapping some pictures or taking a quick video.

Because it's never just one person. It's always multiple people doing it, including right at the front near the stage, and it blocks the view of people behind and spoils the atmosphere/being able to connect with the audience for the band. At a small show in particular I can see how it can be really detrimental to the show, especially when you add in people being so desperate for a selfie with Billie that it makes things unpleasant and dangerous.

The reason there's virtually no footage of the 2008 FBHT tour is they didn't allow filming, and it meant there wasn't an issue with phones at the shows. I honestly don't know why they don't still do that with small shows, especially with the option of easily livestreaming some themselves now so no one would have to feel they're missing out on having some footage of the show.

I agree. At a minimum they should ban phones from the stage and say if you go up there you have to have your phone put away or you’ll get kicked off. But that wasn’t the only problem, it was also the people getting in his face trying to sing and steal the mic and the ones hanging around his neck. In Baltimore he couldn’t perform at all it completely ruined the song.

I can see how when it's a lot of people it's annoying but to me banning phones isn't the right away to go about it. Personally, I want my phone on me at times in case of emergency or my ride is trying to contact me. It makes me feel better to have it which is why a service like yonder irks me. I know you still have your phone but you have to go in a designated area to unlock it.

I see this as an ongoing debate. I just know I don't want artists spending part of the show yelling about phones. Or being a total dick about it like Corey Taylor and try to break someone's phone. But that's just me. I get a lot of people are super rude when it comes to phones at shows even concert behavior in general. And I don't want other people policing how I use my phone especially since I'm usually required to snap pictures if I'm there for a review.

I think banning filming (rather than phones) would work pretty well. Of course you still get a few people sneakily doing it but that isn't even a problem as it's discreet. From what I remember of the FBHT tour it wasn't aggressively enforced and there weren't people being thrown out or anything, but just saying no filming allowed at the shows in advance put the majority of people off. If they did that + filmed/livestreamed some themselves it'd be great imo, no problems created by filming with phones, no need for Billie to waste time ranting about them and still some footage for everyone.

If you set standards like that I do think it'll work. That's the main issue people seem to have is filming entire shows which I agree is really shitty. Still I like taking a few photos for my writing or even just for me. I try not to be a dick about it. Plus I like dancing at shows! I dont want my phone out for that!

^^^^ New studio? 🧐🧐🧐

ETA: I’m sorry but isn’t anybody going to freak out over the hint of a new studio that needs an enormous new drum kit? For Green Day? 😲
