Political climate?

Not with Japan specifically but...idk, did they go anywhere in Asia?

If they were worried about the political climate, they wouldn't be playing in the US yelling "Fuck you Donald Trump" :P

I mean, traveling abroad is very different. World tensions can get people trapped in places unable to leave. But Im mostly referring to the rising nuke discussions. Not that I can comment on the validity of the claims, but you know...the Russia/N. Korea/China issues could be plenty of reason to avoid Asia generally.

There's even more problems in Asia than that.

I really wish though Green Day would play a show in Asia,That was the thing i was waiting for my whole life

Asia isn't that bad! I've been loads of times to Japan and Singapore and I love it. My sister just returned from a year travelling around the world and she spent a few months in China, Japan and other parts of Asia. I would say I never feel safer than I do in Singapore. Probably because people are terrified of breaking the law there :P  Green day have played Asia obviously before so I'm sure they will again but like so many other places they just don't always make it on every tour. I don't think there's any major political reason behind it. It's probably just not practical. They've played the UK but skipped Ireland from 2010 until 2017 for example. Sometimes it's just not possible to get everywhere. But who knows... Maybe they will this time.

Did those kids just NAIL everything that's good and iconic about Green Day in the most concise, eloquent way? Wow, there's hope.

The trouble is though that everyone knows Green Day, even teens. It would have been fun to find kids who had never heard of them and react to hearing these songs for the first time. Instead they all knew the words and had memories of when they first heard them. It's cool that they are such a part of the cultural DNA, it might have been hard to find anyone who wasn't already familiar. Good problem I suppose.

Billie Joe Armstrong: I love performing sober

Billie Joe Armstrong says he "loves" performing sober, following his four months in rehab after suffering an onstage meltdown in 2012.

The Green Day frontman spent four months in rehab after an onstage meltdown in 2012 and though he was anxious about returning to the stage, he now finds performing live more fulfilling than ever.

He said: "I love it. I was having all these crazy neurotic thoughts like, 'I hope I remember how to play guitar and how to sing', but then as soon as you get up there, it's just intoxicating to feed off the energy and adrenaline that's going on in the crowd, and to be able to remember it all afterwards."

The 'American Idiot' hitmaker admitted he turned to drink and drugs to mask his social anxiety.

He said: "I definitely suffer from my own forms of neuroses and depression and phobias.

"I always feel like the most awkward person when I'm in a crowded room. I have social anxieties and stuff like that, and I used drugs and booze to take care of that."

The 44-year-old singer felt he had to go into rehab and face his problems "head on", though he doesn't want to draw on the specifics of what he was addicted to.

He told Q magazine: "I don't wanna get too deep into my drug of choice ... I had to deal with the situation head-on, because the thing about getting sober is, like, if you don't do it the right way, you end up becoming a hermit and I definitely didn't wanna lead that kind of life.

"So I had to sort of expose myself and be raw, which was great. It was something I needed to do. If you look at what I do on stage every night, it's like those songs are every form of depression and anxiety, and I'm putting it all into a crowded room. So for me, it was always 'drink a six-pack of beer before I go on stage'. But I can't do that any more so it was definitely all about facing that in one good go."

I hate the react series now. The Fine Bros have run out of ideas and frankly, I don't want to watch a bunch of kids, teens, or older people react to music or old/new tech. And I already thought they did a react to Green Day? Show how much I follow them

I'm guessing they realized that the guys were on tour and finally did a video on them. I'm happy, because since the beginning of the tour I'd been writing to them, telling them to do a ''full x reacts to Green Day'' video (so that Green Day deserves their own video, since they've done so many others). I think I wrote to them about five times. Well, at least now I got what I wanted (probably by chance lol)...

I think the video is overall very positive promotion for the band, with the exception that it doesn't emphasize the fact that the band is still going and can STILL relate to younger audiences, both in their music and especially live shows. At least most of the teens were reluctant to call them old (cause they're not, if you don't think about the age in a purely technical way).

@Hermione Would it be possible for you to move the responses here to that thread?

If I'd split the original post into it's own thread myself I would've moved the responses with it. But because the thread was made after the responses I think they'd appear before the OP if I moved them and that would be weird. I'm glad you asked though because I'm not 100% sure whether that would happen and I'm going to ask the other admins :P. For now I think it's alright that there's a couple of responses left here, just what happens if someone posts something here and someone else decides to make a thread for it.

Edit: Confirmed that is what would happen so yeah

If anyone's looking for a good laugh (or cringe) the number of mistakes in this review is mind blowing, haha. For anyone who wasn't there, where the article said the fan plays She they mean Knowledge. A guy played She and he did very well.
