Quand j’étais allé me coucher tout le monde souriait, et là je me réveille et tout le monde pleure. C’est la première fois que je me réveille dans un pays qui a élu un fasciste comme président.

This: "when I went to bed the whole world was smiling and when I woke up the whole world was crying... It's the first time I've woken up in a country that has elected a facist for president" (roughly translated - my French isn't what it used to be!)

That's such a depressing, yet accurate way to put it. That quote just made me sad!

You're not too rusty. It seems correct. I'm trying to translate the whole interview, but it will take some time. (I don't use Google translate)

I don't either - I read about half way and thought I'd better leave the rest until later! I felt sorry that Billie had got asked such a lot of questions about the political climate when he must have been feeling pretty s**t about it!

I like that quote, even George Bush did his speeches in Spanish. I think that's an excellent point. Thank you for translating, btw :)

Did he just group all Trump supporters as fascists? Sorry that's just dumb. Why doesn't he be more objective and acknowledge why a lot of the public refused to vote for the other corrupt warmonger? A7X were at least objective on their last album.

I dont live in the US. But if I did there's no way I would vote for her either. It should have been Bernie up for nomination, he would hahe swept it in a landslide. Nice job at alienating your fans Billie.

I voted for Sanders in the Primary but he didn't get the nomination for the Democratic party. I think he would've beat Trump by a big margin. Not voting doesn't really solve anything either.

I'm sorry I'll go with her to keep a known racist, bigot, sexist, xenophobic, etc. out of office.

I don't think people get that sanders is not originally from the Democratic party. Our (registered Dem) History teacher talked about that for 70 minutes, and he hit the nail right on the head. He said that because he is technically a socialist(or 3rd party or whatever) that the DNC would never allow him to be nominated. He thinks the DNC rigged the primary because they didn't like his 3rd party views.

*Edit: If you look at every election since post WW2, The college always has a 1:1 ratio of the 2 major parties. The only exception was the Regan/Bush era. All the dem teachers at my school saw it coming back in the primaries. Just the way our govt is set up i guess:sorry:

And that is why so many of us voted 3rd party in protest. Had it been Bernie, I would argue that a huge portion of the (surprisingly high) 3rd party people would have voted Bernie. And he would have won.

We are starting to become just as "done" with the democrat's ways. The primary was their mistake and it is where the party was seriously divided and opened the door for an easy Trump win.

I say we throw away the 2 party system and pick the best person to support the lower/middle classes!

My friend texted me to say Green Day were shown as 'coming up' on the Channel 4 news in the UK, in the next half hour. I'm gonna try and get a video if something comes up!

"After the break we'll be hearing from America's biggest rock bands on the election of Donald Trump" (paraphrasing!)

EDIT: A small interview with the guys about Trump. Uploading video now but could take a while :tired:

I agree with this. We need to pick the best person possible for the job and that may mean more than 2 choices and more independants.
