I did not but now my brain needs a bleach :S

I'm glad I haven't set foot in that thread because I'm happily ignorant of whatever you're bleaching out :P

The hint of the inappropriate reference was made here, please stay ignorant for your own good! :P

Staying ignorant at inappropriate references is definitely something I'm capable of :P

The masks are gone from the store and I sincerely hope it's because they realised that the price (and the idea that anyone wants to walk around with their "faces" on) was ridiculous not because ridiculous people already bought them all :ermm:

Noodles Of The Offspring: No Bad Blood With Green Day, But ‘We’re A Much Better Band’

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The history between The Offspring and Green Day runs deep.

In 1994 the massive success of both bands took California punk rock from beach basements to the top of the charts, with landmark albums Dookie and Smash going on to sell millions of copies worldwide. Both would evolve and live through the cycle of “sell out” success to being “cool” again a couple times over, all the while collecting devoted fan bases and a few more stacks of platinum plaques.

Through it all though there’s been an undertone of a rivalry between the bands.

“Green Day and us, we were almost equally successful – those guys were a little bit ahead of us I’d say – but really close in terms of record sales and stuff like that” explains The Offspring guitarist Noodles. “So the press tried to pin us against each other. You couldn’t like one and the other, you had to pick one.”

“I don’t think there’s any bad blood. I’ve done some things with Billy Joe” he continues. “There’s certainly a lot more in common than there is keeping us apart. There’s a lot more mutual respect than any kind of – we’ve got no problem with those guys.”

“Having said that, we are a much better band. I should make that clear right?” laughs Noodles. “All around I’d say. Just in general. We’re a much better band.”

As Green Day readies the release of new music with their twelfth album Revolution Radio slated for October 7th, The Offspring has also been in and out of the studio working on songs for their tenth. With a couple of songs in progress already, it still might be a bit of a wait.

$45USD each or $120USD all together.

$120 USD is more than I payed for the show! That's some pricey merch :o

I don't think that's that bad if they're good quality. Overpriced t shirts are one thing but they'd be kind of collectors pieces or almost art pieces rather than something for all fans so it's not exactly important that they're affordable, and they might cost quite a lot to produce. I've seen much worse merch rip offs.

Good Riddance @ 13:37 (number one, yikes!)

I disagree that it's number one, but agree to disagree. I don't think it's a bad song at all either. A lot of people don't seem to understand the actual meaning of the song. I approve of the Redeemer of Souls poster in the back, though.

Green Day has removed all old merch from the store, trilogy and below. Kind of a bummer, I was gonna buy some more shirts when I preordered

funny how the video from the Simpson is someone filming their screen with a phone or something

This is the same radio station that posted that Bj was starting a new band - until Liam set them straight - so at least they are up with the times.

Until like 2009 they had merch from all eras there and it was great, you could get a Nimrod shirt or a Kerplunk scarf and all sorts of things. It's a shame they only sell new stuff now, I'm sure they're missing out on profit by not selling stuff with classic/popular designs that loads of people would want.

seriously! I'd totally buy some nimrod/insomniac/kerplunk stuff from the store, but I gotta get it on ebay or elsewhere instead. a few years back Kohl's actually had a really cool dookie shirt that I ended up buying, and hot topic's website has some dookie shirts too, I got a great basket case shirt from there back in the spring

Yeah! At least you can usually find Dookie shirts from other places. But ones with the awesome yellow Nimrod logo or Warning lightning man or almost anything else that isn't Dookie, AI or newer designs are increasingly hard to find, seems a shame when they have a goldmine of cool and iconic designs they could be selling.
