I haven't spent over $200 on a vinyl yet, but I've seen Look for Love go into the thousands and a couple Laytonville records hit the 400 mark over the years.

Only time I've seen Look For Love go for over $1000 was when it was signed by Billie Joe! Normally they go for about $500. As for Laytonville records, it's only the coloured ones that are normally the high end price.

It may have been, this was before 21stCB came out so my memory is kind of fuzzy. And yep the colored ones :D

Regardless, I thought i would let people know that the record is up for grabs. For some, the price may not matter as much as completing a collection

TBH i think the money is better spent on buying concert tickets :D

I think the only insanely priced vinyl I'd buy at this point is the Misfits Halloween vinyl, which my local record store had last year for almost 500.

Yeah...those prices seem a bit wild to me. I guess it's a good thing to have lots of responsibilities and a nagging boyfriend reminding me of my priorities if I get carried away. Not that I'd ever get THAT carried away

Yeah, that's a bit much, the most I've ever spent on a single record was £65 and that was for a first-pressing Spiral Scratch.

Greatest Drumming Songs

7. Basket Case - Green Day

Why only 8 on the list? It would've made far more sense to go for 10, that way they could fit in some of Topper Headon's genius and John Maher's ridiculous speed.

Vacances ‏@VacancesNY Jul 29

We talk about our love for the #BayAreay #EastBay & @GreenDay in our interview w/ @ARTISTdirect here:

What first inspired you to pursue music? If it was a musician or a specific piece of music, please tell us all about why you find it so inspirational...

My dad played music growing up so I think I was always inspired by different bands he was in. I was surrounded by it all the time. But I was a huge Green Day fan growing up so that pushed me a lot as well. One example being the show below at Green Day at The San Francisco Fillmore in "97.

I don't get the cocaine part. It does not say that in the article... Are they making things up or just assuming things without any real facts. -.-

It's just shitty journalism, the cocaine thing has come from nowhere. He's always said it was alcohol and prescription meds, and he definitely doesn't mention cocaine in the Kerrang interview they're supposedly quoting

The write up isn't exactly flattering and they spelled his name wrong, but it is nice to see Billie's guitar skills recognized, sort of.

10. DAVE GROHL, JACK WHITE, JOHN FRUSCIANTE, JOHNNY MARR, KURT COBAIN, BILLY JOE ARMSTRONG: These guys are creeping onto the radar. Because of their playing? No, because producers are getting younger and the older ones are retiring. And because consumers are from this generation of players. The next nine guys are still in the lead, but these guys are coming on strong.

That's funny, because I consider at least three of them very good axemen. Still frustrated by the lack of certain metal guitarists. Then again, what do I know about session playing? Oh well.

Yeah I don't get that either. I don't remember Billie ever saying it was cocaine but prescription medicines and booze? So made up?

Bang Bang is already Green Day's 3rd most popular song on Spotify, after Basket Case (1) and American Idiot (2) and before WMUWSE (4) and 21 Guns (5) :D This is amazing

Kat Von D Beauty + Project Chimps

KVDBeauty: Kat told us she wanted to do a partnership with Project Chimps months before you guys launched. How did she find out about your organization?
Casey Taylor: Our founding donor and board member, Billie Joe Armstrong, approached Kat about Project Chimps. Being the animal lover she is, she immediately wanted to be involved and support the project!

KVDBeauty: Billie Joe Armstrong, as in…Green Day?
Casey: Yep that’s the one! Billie and Kat are friends.

Could be from Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wake_Me_Up_When_September_Ends

In legacy it says: "In 2012, this song, a favorite of the family's, was played at the funeral of Neil Armstrong, a great-uncle of Billie Joe Armstrong.[15]"...

so, dunno xD
