I've been checking Hot Topic's website daily to see if they have any new Green Day merch for Revolution Radio. While they don't have anything of the new album (yet) I did find this bitchin' 21st Century Breakdown hoodie that I may have to purchase. The guns on the back might as well be for Bang Bang!

Hi everyone! I work with an orchestra that covers modern rock songs. We play stuff like Nirvana, RHCP, Arctic Monkeys, MCR, 30 stm, etc. The orchestra is called RockestraLive and we are from Russia.

Here's a cover of BOBD, enjoy!

There's an interesting article here where Bethany Cosentino from Best Coast where she talks about being on tour with Green Day:

http://donyc.com/p/interview-with-best-coast

This is the paragraph where she talks about Green Day:

Opening for The Go-Gos on their farewell tour is nothing to sneeze at. Who is the most intimidating act you have ever supported?

I have to say- this tour with The Go-Go's is maybe my favorite tour we've ever done. Their fans love us. And getting to watch The Go-Go's live every night is just such a special treat. I was sorta worried when we booked the your because support tours can be weird- but like I said, the fans have been so gracious to us. I would say the most intimidating support tour we did was with Green Day. I mean, it was an honor- but we were playing huge arenas to fans that were ONLY there to see Green Day, they didn't give a fuck about us! Green Day themselves + their crew were super nice and supportive but those audiences, oh man. There we nights I had to just keep my eyes closed the entire time I was singing so I didn't have to see how bummed everyone in the crowd was, hahaha.

Wow, I feel sorry for them :P

Best Coast is pretty cool.

The write up isn't exactly flattering and they spelled his name wrong, but it is nice to see Billie's guitar skills recognized, sort of.

10. DAVE GROHL, JACK WHITE, JOHN FRUSCIANTE, JOHNNY MARR, KURT COBAIN, BILLY JOE ARMSTRONG: These guys are creeping onto the radar. Because of their playing? No, because producers are getting younger and the older ones are retiring. And because consumers are from this generation of players. The next nine guys are still in the lead, but these guys are coming on strong.

WWHC and GtP aren't known to normal people. I doubt most people noticed there was anything before Dookie (or AI, people are that ignorant :P)

People who don't know each and every Green Day song, everything the band did in last 10 years and probably don't have an account here.

That's what I thought! It was technically a single, so how is it a deep cut at all?

€223 haha. No way. I would rather spend it on something else totally dumb because let's be honest that's ridiculous. I love vinyl but that's ludicrous. I have limited edition and out of print vinyl that I end up not playing or only playing once and it is nice to have but always feels a bit silly when I spend loads on them.

Surprisingly it's one of the cheaper "rare" green day records I've seen
It's the last one I need for my collection though, so if it was the red one I'd probably have to take a loan for it.
I started collecting vinyls about a decade ago, and i didn't even own a record player until 3 years ago so they really were ridiculous purchases!

Not for that price. A bit of a rip off.

I'm sure someone will still go for it :) it's not everyday that one comes around.

:shok: wow. If that's considered cheap then I'm very glad I am not into collecting Green Day vinyl!! I actually only have two Green Day Record Store Day releases and their singles vinyl boxset  As I had their stuff on cd as a teen I didn't bother buying another version. I like so many bands it would be ridiculous to buy double copies of albums especially since I really don't listen to Green Day much any more :ninja:! I get you though... I started my collection two years before getting a record player

I haven't spent over $200 on a vinyl yet, but I've seen Look for Love go into the thousands and a couple Laytonville records hit the 400 mark over the years.

TBH i think the money is better spent on buying concert tickets :D

I think the only insanely priced vinyl I'd buy at this point is the Misfits Halloween vinyl, which my local record store had last year for almost 500.
