Cruise
^ I loved that story XD The main acts must have been really good sports. That promoter is one lucky guy, but hopefully he learned his lesson! It is true that it's the promoter's duty to take care of all this. I kind of forget the middle man. But my point is, turnout is important to somebody and age restrictions do have an effect on whoever that is. If and when Green Day decides to do smaller "intimate" shows, the crowd will have to be controlled somehow, because they're one of the biggest bands in the world. Tickets can be sold in advance only, but that creates issues on its own. Most of the club-types I've seen green day/fbht/phgp play were age restricted (although I have no clue about what they've done since the trilogy so fuck me). But bars do have plenty of shows that are 18+ (which is considered underage for drinking), and there are ones that allow minors depending on the show. They pay an extra like 5 bucks on top of door to cover what drink they may have ordered (if they were of age), and wear X's on their hands (or different color wristbands) to prevent them from buying alcohol. FYI I am in no way bickering with you. I really like to hear your perspectives because I have to remember to think objectively when it comes to this stuff. And I like to fully express myself so I can be corrected!! It's hard to remember that not every show is a dive bar in Florida When they do small shows they wouldn't need to worry about only selling tickets in advance as they will sell out in advance anyway. Plus when a lot of bands do these small venue tours they do multiple nights, in some cases they have played the same venue for over a week. Also at some venues, mostly those with a balcony have separate zones which allows for all ages but still have a bar open. So they are completely separate areas.
Libertine Angel
It's not perfectly related, but I'd kill to see the Foxboro Hot Tubs play the 100 Club.

desertrose
Green Day: Now before we leave, we like to give you a song about eating turkey while watching the parade in your most comfortable attire: smiles and pajamas. OK, we lied. The song is merely entitled Macy’s Day Parade. It’s actually about something far gloomier than a parade running through the streets to shouts and cheers. One website quotes Billie Joe Armstrong as once stating, “It's sort of about the lies and deceptions that you have growing up and how you have to find your own way around.” http://www.travelpulse.com/news/entertainment/pop-culture-nods-to-marvelous-macys-thanksgiving-day-parade.html

Or Jinx! Or Haushinka! Or... The rest of the album... God, I love Nimrod. I feel terrible putting it at number four in terms of my favorite Green Day albums.

I feel terrible putting it at number four in terms of my favorite Green Day albums. Ranking things is never good, but yeah - while I was expecting both Insomniac and Nimrod and going nuts about them as a kid, the wait for Nimrod was so, so...special. And what came from it was a clear proof that Green Day can do pretty much anything, toy with genres and fuse them.

T.C
What does Vevo mean though? About Certified Vevo?s CERTIFIED program celebrates the relationship between artists and their fans, honoring music videos that have surpassed 100 million views. Each new installment of CERTIFIED finds fans personally presenting the awards to their favorite artist. In exclusive interviews, the artist discusses the creative process, recalls influential videos that helped shaped their music, and provides details on how some of their biggest videos were made. Vevo?s video view counts represent the only official metric across the digital landscape. Videos that have been CERTIFIED by Vevo have achieved a milestone similar to earning a Gold or Platinum album. http://www.vevo.com/c/EN/AU/certified The only issue is i'm not sure if Green Day's channel comes under VEVO or not. As Warner is not a part of VEVO and wont put there stuff on their as it is a competitor to their brands.

Give_Me_Novacaine90
Who: Billie Joe Armstrong Incident: Who knew that Southwest Airlines had a dress code policy? Well, apparently they do because Green Day singer Billie Joe Armstrong was asked to leave a flight from Oakland to Burbank for wearing his pants too low. A Southwest Airlines employee requested that the singer pull up his pants. And after he refused sternly, he was taken off the flight. The airline later apologized. https://www.yahoo.com/travel/top-10-celebrity-meltdowns-on-a-plane-104016337322.html Green Day mentioned here http://blog.chron.com/miked/2014/11/filmage-the-story-of-descendentsall-is-one-of-the-best-rock-docs-youll-ever-see/

JellyTime
Apparently Jason has a cancer of the esophagus From The Big Cats facebook page: Hey there friends, sad to say but the Big Cats have to step aside and miss our annual holiday show this year. A few weeks ago Jason found out that his two month long sore throat was in fact a bit of cancer growing on his esophagus. The good news is that it's localized and very much treatable. He gets started later this week. Thanks in advance for keeping him in your thoughts. We'll see ya in 2015.
