That was awesome!! Best Bang Bang performance so far. But that censorship... I hate it, and I'll never understand it.

I'm so proud of the guys! Killer performance and that chant :D I can't wait for the butthurt Trump tweets and publicity that will give them

It took a few months for people to accept the Obama presidency. Give it a few weeks and hating Trump will no longer be cool. He is the US President and we have to accept it.

Obama wasn't a fascist or threatening people on twitter like a 5 year old. I think hating Trump will be 'cool' for years to come. And people don't have to accept something they don't agree with.

Lady Gaga is uber talented but she constantly has the foggy expression and live personality of a college art student.

Don't talk shit about Gaga :tired: I've seen her live twice and the only artist better than her were Green Day

"Hey Green Day, stop talking about politic stuff blablablabla..." FUCK YOU ALL.

They're Green Day, they are free, and they are the only band able to do something like that chant, live in front of all the american people.

Brilliant that they did this chant on TV.
After not listening to them at all for the last few years and although I am not the biggest fan of the new record, I'm having more and more respect for them now. It's important that famous people with such a huge range of influence raise their voice.

Well done, Green Day!

Green Day just managed to sing an MDC lyric on national television. That is fucking legendary. People who give them shit for selling out and being faux punk... seriously fuck off. This is probably the first time in music history that an MDC lyric would find its way on national television in front of literally millions of people. Only fucking Green Day. Bless them.

I love that people are actually surprised?? I saw someone say 'this isn't what your fans want' as if they were the fan spokesperson  give me a fucking break.

As if there's something new in all this GD's rebellion. Anyway, doesn't matter, it means that they'll gain in fandom's quality :)

When they they posted that "Dump Trump" photo on FB, people commented things like "I used to be a big fan but now that you've started caring about politics, I'm out." and I was like "close the door on your way out, will you?"

Were they under a rock when Green Day released their second best selling album? Or just weren't alive back then? :tired:

Great performance. Anything that gets people talking is good. YouTube comments   are both hilarious and sickening at the same time.

People who are complaining about them taking a shit on Trump, seriously you might as well just get used to it. Judging by some of the comments on here and on other sites, I can tell some people are bummed. To those who are bummed, let me just give you a heads up, it isn't going to stop. Most likely not until Trump is out of office, honestly. Sorry y'all. A racist, sexist, bigot just got elected President... OF COURSE GD ARE GONNA TALK SHIT ON HIM IN PUBLIC. That is who they are, and if you are big enough of a fan of theirs to be on this site right now, then you know 100% that this is who Green Day is. If it bums you out, well, sorry I guess, but you might as well get used to it. Or try and ignore it. You have all the right in the world to complain about them doing this kind of shit, but i'm just saying... it isn't gonna stop. And so might be a better use of your time and energy if you just get used to it...

Ironically enough the story behind that album has Hillary written all over it.

If you read through lots of the comments I'm sure you would have come across people saying that, hence their anger at Green Days 'hypocrisy'.  It's not so much that some fans are mad that the band are bashing Trump, they're just mad that they didn't really go in on Hillary.

I was like "meh" when I heard they'd be playing Bang Bang but that was an incredible performance and they pulled off that chant so well.

Holy shit I really want this chant to happen at the live shows

Me toooo, but sadly I won't be seeing them in the USA or during an election year for my country, so I don't think we'll get any great chants. Boo.

Billie said he voted for Hillary, and that's about all he has said about her. While at the same time tirelessly adding the disclaimer he was a Bernie fan. Would you stop beating the dead horse? Everything has been very obviously anti-Trump and not pro-Hillary. Christ on a stick it is difficult to remain civil when having to repeat the same thing 541065032202 times.

I don't think it's hypocrisy at all. It's "literally anyone is better than a white supremacist in charge." They knew Clinton, as the Democrat candidate, had the best chance at defeating Trump, hence the support. They'd strike me as people likely to support Democrat over Republican anyway so I don't really get it.

You might still get it! I'm seeing them in the UK and I'm expecting some great anti-Trump chants :D

Exactly, when the democrats were deciding on their candidate, Green Day were backing Bernie Sanders. It's not like the are fans of Clinton, they just thought she was the better option. Let's face it anyone would have been a better option than Trump.

I hope so! But there's been plenty of shit in the UK going on that they can use as inspiration, too :P Australia is just quietly plodding along with our repulsive asylum policies while the rest of the world implodes with their repulsive asylum policies + ten more layers of shite. Welp.
