Just don't even tempt fate.
Tbf I genuinely believe, like Beej has Bern saying for years, that Green Day will only end when "one of them gets carried off in a box" - so we're good for a while. Just stay healthy, whole, and loved boys. The world needs you. ❤️
I think music fandoms have a tendency to worry every tour is the last one, even for younger artists. And I understand things happen and you never know what the future holds — that’s why I take in and appreciate every time I’m able to see them as though it’s the last time. But pending an unexpected bad event, I never think about the artists I like retiring or quitting music. The types of musicians I follow love what they do and I assume they’ll keep doing their job until they physically can’t anymore! All he meant was this was a special anniversary tour that they likely won’t repeat, which is what made it so special, but also what makes it sad that it’s over, I’m sure as much for them as for us.

Yep. I'll happily go to any show where they perform AI in full that my bank account can afford.
Experiencing AI in full was such an emotional roller coaster for me every single time ... and yet somehow I often forget that it makes sense that it might be as much of a roller coaster, if not a lot more, for the man who wrote it to perform it in front a crowd of tens of thousands of people singing it back to him line by line.
Yeah I saw some people worrying about this in comments of the video where he says it might be the last time they do Dookie and AI in full. Maybe naive or wishful thinking on my part, but I just took it to mean he knows it's very unlikely they'll ever do this type of shows again. ~37 songs is no easy feat, and they are in their 50s already, I imagine last year's tour must have been very taxing on them. I didn't think there was a lot more to read into that. The day he says "this might be the last time we perform Good Riddance" I'll dissolve in tears though
Do you have a link? 🥺
Ugh, I so hope they release a DVD (or whatever kids use these days) with professional recording of one of the full Dookie and AI concerts. Those shows need to be immortalized.
Last Night On Earth reaching its peak with 346,228 streams, more than Holiday, Brain Stew, When I Come Around, 21 Guns, Welcome to Paradise and Know Your Enemy.
Edit: Again, reached its peak with 350,509 daily streams. Amazing!

I‘ve just found this on Instagram. I think it really belongs in this thread. Enjoy!😊
Oh yeah I would 100% not be surprised if there was shenanigans sometime in the 90s. I heard a rumour that Beej also dated Aaron Cometbus for a short while in the early 90s, dunno how true that is.
Until the autobiography comes out, we'll never know! 😅😋
The fantasyidea that Billie has fooled around with all of them at some point lives rent free in my mind 😅 The only pairing I'd bet money on (but not a whole lot) is Billie-Kevin though 😂
Anyone just randomly get obsessed with Nimrod?? Idk I woke up this morning and craved it, hah. I swear I can never stick to a single album for more than two days lol.
