Tre just came back on to give someone some drum sticks. The kid lost his drumstick he caught at a Green Day show in the fires and Tre came out and gave him two.

I really loved that they chose such emotional and meaningful songs. It was really touching to hear Last Night on Earth and Still Breathing back to back — Still Breathing always makes me a bit teary, but they really got me this time. They make me so proud!

Just watched the video. Wow, what a wondeful, dignified and moving performance. I had shivers all the time. With all the bad news around the world and all the shit that's happening lately, this gave me a tiny spark of hope that we'll be alright again one day🥹

They should release that live version of last night on earth with Billie Eilish as a single with all proceeds going to Fire Aid. Also what an amazing song hard to believe LNOE was never a single. One of their best. Glad they had the honor of opening up great song choices. Especially Still Breathing

Bless the person here who said you can watch this on Max from the start. I totally forgot about this, but was able to see the boys before bed! Fantastic!! Surprised they opened the show! Loved the songs they picked. I wish the sound was better - this show seems to be plagued with sound issues - but it's always good to see them. I skipped ahead and was shocked to see Dave Grohl, then Krist, then I realized shit it's Nirvana! They should've done the entire performance with Joan Jett. Even though she was having some sound issues, she was the best of all the singers. Also, it was nice to see Dave after the whole...you know... I go back to the live feed and see Flea in underpants. Time for bed

I was crying during Still Breathing. I've always fucking loved that song, but it's been really, really hitting harder the last few weeks. Also, shoutout to Dawes as well. Huge fan of theirs.

LNOE into Still Breathing is super effective. The latter I've always connected to as a message of personal perseverance but in this context it's about anyone, individual or collective coming through some calamity. Glad to see the crowd come alive when they went into When I Come Around, which also kinda fits thematically.

Just got around to watching the performance because I’m at work and I do layout for a local paper and my coworker asked what photos from the concert she should use and who everyone liked and I still kind of new to the position and she’s remote but I was like “look, I’m a biased Green Day fan so I have to go with them and Billie Eilish”. Decided I should back up my statement by actually watching the show and wow LNOE hit me more than I thought it would. Basically what I’m saying is if you’re in Northeast Ohio and you see Green Day in tomorrow’s paper. You’re welcome.

I'm optimistic as they get older, the slower-tempo songs might become more regular in their sets.

The story about them breaking into the house to save those dogs right before the house burned down has been bawling like a baby!

More photos: 29 years ago (30 January 1996), Green Day played the MBK Hall in Bangkok, Thailand on the Insomniac Tour. A Thai band called Barbies opened. Impatient fans chanted Green Day's name throughout their set. They started throwing chairs, water bottles and shoes. When Barbies' set ended, a staff member announced that the MBK Hall was well over capacity and that fans shouldn't jump because the floor might cave in. The MBK Hall was located in a mall – which is still there today – and it seemed that might have been why the shops below shut early. Of course, once Green Day took the stage, the fans did jump. They felt the floor sagging beneath their feet. Fights broke out and people hit each other with chairs. The floor never actually gave way, but someone without a ticket did hit a security guard with a beer bottle until his skull cracked, then broke the door down. Some fans said it was the best show they'd ever seen. Some said it was the worst. However, almost everyone in MBK Hall that day will agree that they wondered if they were going to die that night. Knowing that they’ve probably been playing LNOE at the festivals because they were gonna do this makes me feel like my hope for them to keep it in rotation for Rockville is low but man I hope they do.
