  2. On this day last year (1 December 2023), Green Day recorded their set for Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve. And as we know, the "MAGA agenda" lyric change that Billie has been doing for years upset a lot of conservative viewers. More photos: When I made the list of all the shows for this project, the internet told me the 2019 Dick Clark thing was recorded on the 1st of December too, but apparently it was the 23rd of November. I'll add it to that post. 20 years ago (1 December 2004), Green Day played American Idiot at the VH1 Big in '04 Awards. More photos: 24 years ago (1 December 2000), Green Day played the Palaghiaccio di Marino in Rome, Italy on the Warning Tour. 29 years ago (1 December 1995), Green Day played the Metropolitan Park in Jacksonville, FL on the Insomniac Tour. 30 years ago (1 December 1994), Green Day played the Convention Hall and Civic Center in Philadelphia, PA on the Dookie Tour.

  3. When your 15 year old falls in love with them too and is therefore getting ALL the Green Day merch for Xmas and you suddenly don't mind dropping 80 bucks for a zip hoodie because maybe he'll let you borrow it once or twice

  4. I made a Blue (RevRad era stickers) Xmas ornament.

  5. While I don’t think OP is trolling, I do think someone at the show they went to who they overheard it from could’ve been trolling. Either that or it’s a compilation album. I just don’t see them releasing and promoting a new album next year after just releasing Saviors and having a pretty stacked schedule the first half of 2025. They’re not a band that pushes out new music that quickly and also, I think they’re really genuinely enjoying this period of their career and celebrating Saviors/Dookie/AI.

  6. On this day 27 years ago (30 November 1997), Green Day played the Bank of America Center in Boise, ID on the Nimrod Tour. 29 years ago (30 November 1995), Green Day played the Coliseum in North Charleston, SC on the Insomniac Tour. 30 years ago (30 November 1994), Green Day played the Auditorium de Verdun in Montreal, Canada on the Dookie Tour. More photos: 33 years ago (30 November 1991), Green Day played Kasal Popular in Valencia, Spain. Another photo: Glad you're enjoying it. Got to keep GDC alive. Must have been wild being a Green Day fan back then!

  7. Green Day’s Greatest Hits – God’s Favorite Band (Reprise) has been certified 2x Platinum in the UK, with over 600,000 copies sold since its release on November 17, 2017. https://worldmusicviews.com/50-cent-lauryn-hill-green-day-the-weeknd-drake-and-more-earn-new-u-k-certifications/

  8. Billie wrote it after Obama won the election. It didn’t fit the overall theme of 21cb as it was bright sunny and poppy and not dark. The band sat on lots of songs around this time, I think in 2008 they were working with about 45 songs. As we know, some rolled into the trilogy and others are in the vault. I could see them do a second Shenanigans style comp. The tour was wildly successful and there’s been a strong fan reaction to the anniversary releases and demos. There isn’t a better time to release this.

  9. Well, I remember from 21stCB era, Butch Vig said the band made a song called "Wonderful", I think. It sounded kinda "Beach Boys".

  11. About Restless Heart Syndrome I used to hate this song when I was 18 (2009). Now, I think it’s amazing

  12. This 100%. It used to be one of my bottom 3 songs on the album, but now I’m resonating a whole lot with the song, making it one of my favorites. Addiction is terrible and it’s ruined some aspects of my life already. I mentioned this a bit earlier in the thread, but I never realized the very beginning of the piano intro to Viva La Gloria? (Little girl) is Restless Heart Syndrome’s melody before the instrumental break. On a side not, I watched Riding in Vans with Boys with Kut You Up and man were those guys drunken goof balls. Lucky as hell to go on tour with blink and Green Day. It’s all about who you know sometimes. I gotta say though, it looks like they had more fun on that tour than I have in my entire life lol.

  13. That was Pollyanna. I know there’s no proof and I know not everyone agrees but come on. That describes the song we got. I dunno.

  18. Lights out, hearts collide, a quick one while he's away, that's alright momma, another state of mind, like a rolling stone, last of american girls radio mix. Also 21st cb, 21 gums, and american girls studio 880 session. You could count the original foxboro hot tubs ep with movie clips and also has highway 1 that's not on the album. This bsides album isn't happening. They just put out all the american idiot bsides so there'd really be nothing

  19. A 33 year journey sharing my life with this awesome band. Relived through your emotionally charging photos. Tears are runny down my cheeks. Sending you a virtual fist-bump ❤️

  20. Feeling like I need to take a moment of silence and honor the fact that today marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Boulevard of Broken Dreams as a single, the song that introduced me to Green Day and changed my life forever.

  21. Another concept album name back in 2008 was „Coffee and Repent“, right? This brings back so many great memories from hearing the 21CB demo for the first time and watching all those little leak videos featuring Butch Vig.

  22. I haven't heard this anywhere else except for this trend either, but I think I believe it. There's a point we're missing here, this name could only be known by someone who is a really big fan of the band, since it was a rumor from 200fucking8. I'm a huge fan, I know basically everything about Green Day, I spend almost all my money going to 6-7 shows every tour and buying box sets and albums, and even I didn't know this name and this rumor from 2008, my friends didn't either. So I don't want to believe that someone who knows and loves the band so deeply would spread fake news, I'd rather believe that he's someone who actually heard something at the Uktra Q concert and came to share it

  23. I don’t appreciate the judgemental comments. I have been an observer on this forum for a long time, a life long GD fan, and when I had this piece of info I wanted to share with you. I’m not going to disclose exactly which band member told me what. If you don’t want to believe then don’t and wait for the news.

  25. Another B-Side compilation spanning American Idiot to now would be great and I've been asking for it since before FOAM. I'm highly suspicious of this though.

  26. The only thing I could see is a compilation release for next year’s holiday season but nothing they would have to promote sooner because they’re playing festivals all year. Feels more like an off year, but they did release God’s Favorite Band at the end of the RevRad tour so to have a B-sides collection to mark the end of the Saviors tour wouldn’t be that crazy an idea. They’ve done the Dookie/AI anniversary sets, they can’t do another Greatest Hits comp so it’s the only thing they can release next year (I don’t think we’ll get another Insomniac release)

  27. Does anyone who was here back in like 2007 remember that title being mentioned as an upcoming album title (before we knew anything about 21CB) or is it just me?
