  2. I don’t appreciate the judgemental comments. I have been an observer on this forum for a long time, a life long GD fan, and when I had this piece of info I wanted to share with you. I’m not going to disclose exactly which band member told me what. If you don’t want to believe then don’t and wait for the news.

  5. Or they are really just passing on something they heard 🤷‍♀️ I mean, even I, a fervent Green Day fan back in 2009, didn't remember the whole Hillside Dance debacle and that suspected name. So for a troll to dig up that very obscure piece of trivia 15 years later seems unlikely.... they either really are a long time observer of the fandom and with a really good memory (and then why troll? and also, starting a harmless rumor online is hardly trolling), or they really heard this rumor going around. Doesn't mean the rumor itself has to be real though. My hope for the end of the Saviors tour is that they release a full live show, or a compilation from several shows mounting up to a full setlist - I choose to believe this is what the rumor they heard was about

  7. 27 years ago yesterday (26 November 1997), Green Day played First Avenue in Minneapolis, MN on the Nimrod Tour. 29 years ago (26 November 1995), Green Day played the International Ballroom in Doraville, GA on the Insomniac Tour. 30 years ago (26 November 1994), Green Day played the Newport Music Hall in Columbus, OH on the Dookie Tour. 36 years ago (26 November 1988), a dream came true for Green Day (as Sweet Children) when they played 924 Gilman Street for the first time. Another photo: -------------------- On this day 24 years ago (27 November 2000), Green Day played the Coliseu dos Recreios in Lisboa, Portugal on the Warning Tour. 30 years ago (27 November 1994), Green Day played the Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA on the Dookie Tour. "We had been warned of trouble looming at a show in Fairfax, VA, a conservative suburb outside Washington, DC. The gig was at the Patriot Center at George Mason University. George Mason, a father of the Bill of Rights, refused to sign the Declaration of Independence because it didn't guarantee enough rights and freedoms. (Were he still alive, he'd be cast out of Virginia; although its state slogan is "Virginia Is For Lovers", in 1994, Virginia had an anti-sodomy law.) The promoter told Green Day in advance that they wouldn't allow us [Pansy Divison] to play, that we were inappropriate; Green Day's response to the promoter was that if we didn't play, they wouldn’t play. The promoter backed down, but when we arrived, he pulled me aside for a lecture. In a friendly-yet-stern way, he said our material was too mature for Green Day’s young audiences. He said that there would be eight-to-12-year-olds in the crowd. I asked why he was worried about our lyrics and not Green Day’s, which also have some references that might not be suitable. And who were these kids, anyway? What parents were letting their kids go to concerts so young? I told him, if they’re that young, much of what we sing about is going to go right over their heads; they won’t get it. But they’ll know they saw a gay band, and it will get them talking one way or the other. To us, that would be a victory, meaning we’ve infiltrated Pat Robertson country. This guy kept saying things like he had a lesbian sister, that he was for gay rights, but not in these circumstances. He said he was dreading the day-after phone calls from parents. I told him I had the right to sing about it, kids had the right not to be censored, and what we sang about was part of the world we live in. Virginia was a sodomy-law state; the discrimination was written into state law. To counter years of hetero propaganda these kids had heard — and would continue to hear — a few bad words and risqué songs wouldn’t do them any harm. This discussion went in circles for 15 minutes, until I finally told him it was a waste of my time. When we played, the reception was mixed but more supportive than I’d feared; it was the only show we played with Green Day in the South." — Jon Ginoli of Pansy Division 33 years ago (27 November 1991), Green Day played the Revolver Club in Madrid, Spain. Thanks! I remember wishing I could go to that free show on my birthday but I was 15 so it wasn't going to happen

  8. Have a feeling we'll get two more box sets next year. Warning 25th and maybe Insomniac 30th. Yes, there was 25th for latter with double vinyl Studio/live Prague with rainbow cover. But nothing else. Maybe some unreleased demos and outtakes similar to Nimrod box set? And the fact that, Woodstock '94, released in 2019, for 25th anniversary of it's release and Dookie, was issued again on Dookie 30th.

  12. Yes, and while it's true (as someone pointed out) this account only has two posts, it was registered already 2019 which rule out it was created only for the purpose of creating a troll post.

  14. Another B-Side compilation spanning American Idiot to now would be great and I've been asking for it since before FOAM. I'm highly suspicious of this though.

  16. Don't know about the past of this title but this was the buzz. Were jokes about how fittingly goofy the title is and some connection with their hometown.

  17. Does anyone who was here back in like 2007 remember that title being mentioned as an upcoming album title (before we knew anything about 21CB) or is it just me?
