  1. Not sure this is really the right place for this, but an interesting article about the sound set up, from the way the crew behave and are treated if nothing else. https://www.tpimagazine.com/the-saviors-tour-eighth-day-sound-supports-green-days-return-to-the-circuit/

  2. Giving up hope that they'll actually tour the US in 2025 tbh 😭 It's cool that they're part of such a big cultural event, but selfishly I hate festivals. I can't physically or financially swing them.

  4. Yeah, it’s better than a year off where we don’t hear from them at all, but festivals are a big no from me. I’m sure financially it’s a great deal for them, they get paid to play at a fraction of the touring cost and trouble

  5. Same, I was really hoping they’d swing back around with a normal tour again in 2025 but now they’re scheduled to perform at least a few times every month for the first seven months of 2025. Maybe the festival circuit won’t be as taxing as their touring schedule, but I imagine they’ll want a break after July. But who knows, maybe they’ll do a little US tour in the fall. I also can’t do festivals for a variety of reasons so that’s out for me. At least we’ll still get to see them from afar most of next year, I guess!

  7. On this day 8 years ago (21 November 2016), Green Day played on Jimmy Kimmel Live. More photos: 20 years ago (21 November 2004), Green Day played the Cox Arena in San Diego, CA on the American Idiot Tour. "It was the best show I have ever been to. A great memory of my favorite band. It was amusing when Billie Joe stuck his hand down his pants making it look like he was jacking off and then sniffed his hand. It was hilarious! During Knowledge he called people up to play that song. When he asked for a guitar player to come up, he asked the guy if got laid, then Billie asked if he got his cock sucked before, so he called him on stage ans said well you're about to right now. Then he kissed him, gave him his guitar, and made him say the magic word (not please), SAN DIEGO! They made all the songs longer and Billie made a funny ass laugh in the middle of Hitchin' A Ride. And he did the crown thing with King For A Day and the crowd thing with Brain Stew. He introduced himself as Jimmy before St. Jimmy. And he called a kid on stage to squirt people with a supersoaker." — fan experience 29 years ago (21 November 1995), Green Day played the MECCA Arena in Milwaukee, WI on the Insomniac Tour. "Billie Joe Armstrong pulled a Jim Morrison and exposed himself to 6,000 fans at the Mecca Auditorium, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. That was, of course, Armstrong's clever way of letting Green Day fans who understand Green Day-ese know that the Mecca was a mediocre show. Armstrong told ATN during an interview on Halloween that he only drops trou at so-so shows. Unfortunately, this time mooning the crowd, if you'll excuse the expression, backfired. After Green Day finished their hour long set, police officers took Armstrong to the Milwaukee police station, where he was cited for indecent exposure. After he paid the bail of $141.85, he was released. But why don't we let Lt. Thomas Christopher of the Milwaukee PD explain what happened, as only law enforcement can: 'Mr. Armstrong dropped his pants to his knees and exposed his buttocks to the crowd. After the concert, Mr. Armstrong was taken into custody, given a city citation for indecent exposure. He posted a bail and was released.' Thomas said this was not an actual arrest, and Armstrong is only required to go to court if he intends to contest the charge. Otherwise, he'll commit a 'civil forfeiture' and the city will take a 'default judgment.' Which means if Billie Joe doesn't come back to Milwaukee to fight for his right to drop trou, the city gets to keep the chump change. Officers went out of their way not to disrupt the concert, in order to avoid a potential riot. Instead they waited until the last notes were played and apprehended Armstrong on the way to his limo. 'The problem was he exposed himself to a crowd of about 6,000 people,' said Lt. Christopher. 'Including people as young as ten. That was our main reason for taking the action.'" 33 years ago (21 November 1991), Green Day played Hirscheneck in Basel, Switzerland. It was their first Swiss show. Feels like yesterday and a long time ago at the same time! Don't even talk to me about how long ago 2013 was... @Rumpelstiltskin2000 you ought to share the story of the people chanting that at your show!

  8. So happy for them! And headlining next to Gaga is also great since Billie and Gaga always had very kind words for each other

  20. The 13+ tickets is regular GA tickets. The 18+ tickets are premium tickets. They have their own area of the festival which is smaller then the GA section.

  22. I was too young to go anywhere until the 21stcb tour and then started disliking their music from trilogy to foam so I didn't wanna bother and pay all that to go see them somewhere. My love for them came back with Saviours to be honest it's the first time I feel connected with green day again after all these years and this announcement came just at the right time.

  26. I do get this touring "more effectively" thing to a degree. I mean I wouldn't want GD to exhaust themselves and just decide to not tour or play live at all. They are getting older after all, (and so am I!🤣). I also get why playing festivals is important to attract new fans, and also why playing them is easier. What I don't particularly understand though is this seemingly muddled mixture of the two. You either decide to do just a run of festivals next year and no solo headline shows, or play a decent string of solo headline shows. That way people are less disappointed and frustrated, or feel short changed at 'only getting a festival show'. (Yes I am including myself in this, even though I'm sure I'll be buzzing after the festival and just feel so damn grateful that I got to see the guys play again!😆)

  28. Yeah I really, really hate the autotune. Billie doesn't need that, I don't get it. Saw them in Atlanta in August and have watched several fan recorded videos from this summer, he sounded great. Grrrrr. Does he necessarily have to approve it though? Green Day's management company oversees the YouTube channel, at least according to Google. Hi btw, I am new here!! Been a fan for a loooong time. Like, remember hearing Longview on the radio when it was brand new, long time. 🙂
